Flirty Pink Makeup Look

Guilty Conscience

No, don’t worry!!! I have not done anything wrong!!! It was just an inspiration I derived from my nephew. He is the sweetest kid on earth, but whenever he does something he shouldn’t be doing, he turns all pink, bats his eyelashes at the person who catches him and goes all tight-lipped with an impish smile to boot!!!

And he looks like the CUTEST thing ever!!!

Although I am nowhere near as cute as him, I thought I could at least look cute enough to make my fiancée pay for my makeup shopping which could be a little too much sometimes… 😉

So here goes my attempt at a cute face hiding a Guilty conscience-

1.    These are the things I used-

  • Maxfactor Natural Minerals Foundation in the Bronze
  • Lakme Just kissed Cheek and lip tint
  • Chambor Eye Colour Trio in Rose
  • Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara
  • Colorbar Nude Pink Lip liner
  • Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Chocolate Temptation

2.    My bare face-

3.    Start with a light coverage. I have used natural Mineral foundation which is a loose powder and has illuminating particles. It gives a light to medium (Buildable) coverage.

As you can see, it evens out my skin tone and still looks quite natural.

4.    Next, take a squeeze of the Lakmé Cheek and Lip tint on your index finger and blend it along your cheekbones. Start from the apples of your cheeks and go right upto the temples.

5.    Be generous with your application for the flushed look.

6.    Give a wash of light, neutral pink colour all over the eye. Add a swipe of bronze in the crease to create depth.

7.    Draw a very thin line with liquid eyeliner on the upper lash line. Curl lashes and apply lots of mascara.

8.    Line your lips with a nudish link lip liner and fill with a similar colour.

9.    Bat the flirty lashes, let the flushed cheeks give away your secret and hide the same in your impish smile.

10.    Tried and tested on boyfriend. Works very well for surprise shopping!!! Add a flirty, pink dress and be ready for some weak knees….

11.    Nothing beats naughty and flirty seasoned with coyness!!!

Enjoy the after effects!!!!

Love

  1. Yeah, I agree,,,you look pretty cute without the makeup too…. 😀 …hey by the way, did you have a new haircut?????

  2. Hey! M, very pretty…
Now the true test of this makeup is to make it work on husbands… 😉 😀 …love the look

    1. Hey Rajol… I have tested in on my bf.. 😉 😉

But i suppose bfs are more gullible than husbands… :rotfl: :rotfl:

So do try it out and let us know…. 😀 😀 😀

      1. Men become immune as soon as GF / fiancee transitions into Wife :'(

Rajol, do test and let us know if it worked… we can all try it then… shoppers is having a big sale from 11th… might be a good time to try….

        1. According to my hubby, makeup should be there bt it should not feel that it’s there. Now how the hell one does that. And I am totally opposite. I like my blush, kajal, lipsticks everything to SHOW. 😛

Need serious training for the no-makeup look. 🙄 🙄

          1. Hey Rati,

I agree with your husband… So sorry to be on his side. Normally I dont leave my friend’s side. So I am feeling a bit or rather a lot guilty

            1. Don’t ever let Sanjeev meet my hubby..like EVER. I keep getting lectures on how there is no need for colouring my face like I am going to perform at a circus! Ok..amn’t great at makeup, but realllly I am NOT that bad either!

              1. Hey! Rati,
I totally agree, I always have this debate with my husband on why do I need more than 2 mins in front of the mirror to get ready. And, not that I take long, 10-15 mins flat is what I take to get ready at any point in time…(that’s icluds the entire cycle from face wash-make up/hair-cloths). Still he feels I take long…ufff!!! these men… :struggle:

                1. ha ha.. you know I started getting ready quickly because of my hubby only. He would get ready within 2 minutes and I used to be still moisturizing my face. Later I learnt to move my hands quickly. Even my liner comes out perfect now. loll!!

Now even if he tells me that we are going out and I have just 5 minutes to get ready, I’ll be done with my base, blush, lips, eyes and dressing up. Hurray!!

Actually thank him for that. 😉

              1. As it is men are born hypocrites….

They’ll crib abt the time we take to get ready…

And if I go without makeup for even a day, he’ll say.. “Why do you buy all that stuff and don’t even use it??””

                I mean, WTF???

    1. That’s the same one Ki….

And DO pick up the tint…. Very very useful… And stays on forever till you remove it… So gr8 for wedding day.. You can layer another blush on top but with this you won’t have to worry about fading…

If you don’t find this lippie… Tell me ASAP… I’ll send it to you…

  4. Hey! M/Anks,

When ever I mention anything about an upcoming sale or express my intensions of shooping…I get a very standard response NOW!…”Who’s stoppoing you, you are earning…so go spend”… 🙁 :-((
Gone are those days, when I was taken out and bought stuff for…
I have had my days, when I would be in the trial room trying out stuff…and my husband (BF/Fiance..then) would go around the entire store picking things for me to try out…

  5. M, I loved loved the look. I am going to try this one as well. Generally pinks don’t go too well on my eyes but I will give it a go.  :jump: :jump:

  8. I have the same Mascara -Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Mascara- waterproof one.. yesterday i went all psycho :silly: on it and applied two three coats of it 😎 :beauty: … then I tried removing it with The Body Shop Eye makeup remover.. oh man I became so ambitious trying to remove every small fleck of mascara .. A little bit of the remover went into my left eye and i didnt wash my eyes immediately (BIG MISTAKE) .. result- my left eye became blood shot, had little edema :hypnotized: in it.. I took avil and slept :dazed:   .. I woke up with a red eye :inlove: 🙁 :(….

Moral of the story : use little less mascara and wash eyes immediately if it comes in contact with chemicals… 🙁

      1. I went out today with out any mascara.. 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 didnt want to repeat yesterday’s episode…but i swiped little eye shadow .. 🙂 🙂 going out even without eyeshadow is like stepping out naked for me… ha ha ha lol

  9. bootiphull look. superlike it!
now this look is something that EVERY woman should know how to get right.
does the lakme tint blend well over powder? or is it slightly more tedious than blending it over a moisturised/foundation-ed face?

      1. on my bare face, it goes on blotchy. plus, i think i would be mad to try that because my skin is already patchily pink. blends like a dream over my foundation though. stays moist much more longer, so it’s easier to blend. i don’t have to hurry through. i was just curious to know about how it goes over powder.

  10. Haha, a funny way to put it~! I like your make-up ^__^ and LOL, thanks for the tip.
Since i don’t hv a boyfriend just yet, I’ll try to make random bystanders weak on the knees..haha..XD

  11. More I read ur tutorial more I want to get my hands on Maxfactor foundation, unfortunately we dont have a maxfactor outlet 🙁 Waiting for my next trip to Blore! Btw I love ur tutorials

  12. Hey Vinitha… maxfactor does have an amazing range of textures and formulae when it comes to foundations…

But if you are planing to buy the Natural Minerals one, choose the shade carefully as it tends to oxidize and turn darker over time….

And i would strongly recommend Age Renew… And the masterpiece mascara…
OMG.. i go totally hysterical at the mention of MF!!!   :silly: :silly: :silly:
