Florelle Kajal Eye Pencil

Florelle Kajal Eye Pencil

This eyeliner would especially be familiar to those of you who frequent the Middle East.  I grew up in Saudi Arabia, so I know this company very well, but many European drugstores carry this product frequently, so I’ve heard from friends and family.

Florelle Kajal Eye Pencil

Product Description:

“Florelle Company was founded about 20 years ago in Milan, a city famous for fashion and style. Set in a blue and gold decor, Florelle is a superb range of cosmetics manufactured by Export Service sas, Milan (marketing and export coordinated by Florelle, Switzerland).  Over the last decade, our Company expanded rapidly and the Florelle family consists of more than 35 distributors throughout the Middle East, Europe, Far East and South America. Thanks to the enthusiasm of this team, we have experienced rapid and steady growth in market share.  Our international focus allows us to be sensitive to the needs of each local market. Our unique marketing approach is customer focused and flexible, with eye-catching displays and P.O.S. showcards.”

So you see, they are available in many countries. They just haven’t reached the Asian market, but I have a strong feeling they will! They have decent quality products. When I was younger and in school (10th – 12th), I was not allowed to splurge on higher-ended brands. So, I used to hunt for cheaper alternatives. I found brands like Florelle, Javico, Sensi, etc.  They were not only much cheaper, but also had a decent quality to them! I have used their lipsticks, compacts, blushes, nail polishes, etc.

Florelle

The most special reason why I’m even mentioning this brand is because they have the best kajal ever! It beats MAC, MUFE, Urban Decay, Max Factor, Christian Dior and others by a huge margin! This is so intensely black! Forget that dark Lakme Kajal! This is the real deal! It glides on smoothly like a dream! Every time I apply it these days, I’m reminded of Kareena Kapoor’s look in Kurban! It’s my dream kajal. I would speak only in superlatives about this product. I have been using it for 10 years now and I have tried makeup brands in US, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, India, I’ve tried many, so for me, this is the best kajal. Girls, I sincerely advice you to get your hands on these as soon as possible somehow! I wish I had that many, so I would ship it to all those who requested here, but I’m running out of my stash, so I rely on my cousins and friends in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah) to get these for me as now I’m settled in India. If you know someone there, trust me, next time when they say if you want something from there, ask for this kajal. But be advised, this kajal comes in 2 forms, one has a golden cap and the other a blue cap, you would want the one with golden cap.  The blue one is simply ordinary. I have just 1 & ½ kajal of this left and I’m already freaking out thinking I need to remind my friends to get me this.  Just ask your friends to ship it to you and you will pay them however. Trust me; you will not regret buying this!

In the image below, the upper stripe is with a single application and the swatch below is by rubbing the nib 3 times. Isn’t it so dark?!

Swatch

In the image below, I have applied it on my lower water line and beyond it too. I’m in love with this kajal! Sigh!

Product Description:

Very soft lead which does not get crushed. It allows an application to the inner edge of the eyelid without causing any irritation. Florelle Khol pencil emphasizes the shape of the eyes with great precision. Available in 8 classical and fashion colours.

Price:

Approximately Rs. 200 (12-15 Riyals)

Pros of Florelle Kajal Eye Pencil:

  • The color is the blackest true black.
  • Inexpensive.
  • Easily available in Middle East, many of us have friends/relatives living there. Give them a hint of this product, they will be happy to pick up an inexpensive gift for you.
  • Waterproof.
  • Soft on the sensitive water lines.
  • Exceptional quality.
  • Does not break easily.
  • Easily blendable for a smokey look.
  • Works perfectly well as both an eyeliner and kajal.

Cons of Florelle Kajal Eye Pencil:

  • Only that it is a soft pencil, which is no doubt smooth to the eye and that’s why it’s in the “pros” list too, but soft pencils means, it would end up faster.
  • I haven’t seen it in India, but a friend of mine said she saw some at her boutique which houses some international products.
  • If you keep it on without setting it with a black powder for more than 4-5 hours, it starts to fade. If set with a black eye shadow, it will last all day!
  • It is a very dark product, so you need a proper makeup remover to get rid of it completely!

Would I Recommend Florelle Kajal Eye Pencil?

Hell yes, its my favourite kajal EVER!
