When Drew Barrymore came out with Flower Beauty products, I was super excited because her makeup looks have always been so beautiful. When I saw the advertising, all the products looked pretty good and she had those same looks she usually wears. So, I rushed to the nearest store where I could find it and bought home some goodies. Among all the things I got, my favorite one is the Crème Eyeshadow in “Flirty Floret.” It’s a coppery brown shade with some shimmer. They have a huge shade collection, but I was very tempted to try this shade, so here comes the review 🙂

My Experience with Flower Beauty Flirty Floret Color Play Creme Eyeshadow:
The eyeshadow is in a heavy glass packaging, which reminds me of the L’Oreal Creme eyeshadows. You need very little product, so just a little goes a long way. The texture of this is very interesting. It does not dry down to give a powdery finish or in the form of liquid. It’s more like a dewy finish. It does not have runny consistency. The pigmentation is A+. The quality is very good. I could compare this to some of the high-end brand cream eyeshadows. Since it’s really smooth, it blends in nicely on the lid.
The product has to be worked in layers to achieve a darker look if you are going for a smokey eye, but between layers, a few seconds time must be given for the previously applied layer to dry up a little bit. This definitely needs a bit patience when you work with it. The eyeshadow can be even used as a base for powder eyeshadows.
However, there are two drawbacks of this product – the packaging and long lasting power. The kind of consistency the product has, I feel is best if it came in a tube. The product has to be removed carefully, else it would cause a huge mess. Also, the eyeshadow has to be used with a primer. It does not seem to stay on for long without a primer.
I have had the product for over a year now and I am happy to report that the product has not dried up even a little bit. I love using the shade “Flirty Floret” especially when I want to sport a red lip or a n*de lip. It’s the perfect shade to give your eyes the subtle drama.
Pros of Flower Beauty Flirty Floret Color Play Creme Eyeshadow:
- Easy to use.
- Good pigmentation.
- Good value and quality for money.
- No fragrance.
- Not tested on animals.
Cons of Flower Beauty Flirty Floret Color Play Creme Eyeshadow:
- Does not last long without a primer.
- Packaging can cause mess.
Would I Repurchase/Recommend Flower Beauty Flirty Floret Color Play Creme Eyeshadow?
Yes, I would. I hope they improve the packaging because I want to use the color more on the eyes rather than having them sticking on my fingers.
