Flower Eyes on the Prize Eyeshadow Chubby – Teal We Meet Again Review

I have seen this product during so many of my earlier trips to Walmart and very blatantly ignored it because I found it way too pricey and not so fascinating. This product is one of the first few that I purchased from this brand and I am glad it was not a disappointment or I would have never dared to buy any other product from the “Flower” aisle.

My Take on Flower Eyes on the Prize Eyeshadow Chubby – Teal We Meet Again:

Packaging: These chubby sticks remind me of Clinique’s Chubby Stick Shadow Tint for Eyes. The entire stick is of the color of the shadow and has a plastic, clear, matte cap. The stick has a twist-up mechanism; hence there is no product wastage in sharpening. “Flower” is written in caps font on stick, in gold color.

Color: Teal green color which if worn right can look pretty on all skin tones. It is like the lighter of the two green shades we get in Camel crayon box 😛

Texture: The creamy formula glides across eyelids smoothly and is easy to blend.  During application, it reminds me of crayon on paper. It is in a cream form, but after application, it appears like a powder shadow and can be blended like one.

Pigmentation: It is comparable to higher end shadow sticks by NARS and Clinique and that too half the price – two swipes are enough for the entire color impact. On my oily eyelids, these sticks start to crease after 3-4 hours, especially if I use too much. Generally with these, the less I use, the better. If one has super oily lids, one might want to start with a layer of primer, just to head off any potential creasing. My lids tend to be dry this time of year, but during the summer, yeah, I’d definitely pop some primer first. Oh, and one can also use these as bases for your powder shadows.

Staying Power:  Not more than 3-4 hours, a little better with a primer on, but not more than that. To keep the look intact, one has to keep re-touching the shadow to avoid creasing and maintain the color intensity.

Availability: This is an issue for some since as of now, this brand is available only in Walmart and online, so interested folks can either flock to the nearest Walmart to get hold of this brand or ask their NRI friends to buy a bunch of products from this brand, just to add more variety to their vanity.

• Poor staying power – creases after 3 to 4 hours.
• Limited color range.
• Not available that easily.

Would I Repurchase Flower Eyes on the Prize Eyeshadow Chubby – Teal We Meet Again?

No, but I recommend it to all the beginners or people who liked Clinique shadow sticks. For $7, I would rather they have a better staying power and color range than provided.
