I was a silent follower of IMBB until I read the article ” That thing which nearly killed my life” written by Mr. Sanjeev . It was an inspiration injection to me. I was scared of writing and sharing my experiences(don’t ask me why because I find my fears silly now) but after that article(Thank you so much sir) I have decided to break my shell of silence and share my experiences on this beautiful platform created for us. So here goes my review of the serum…..

How I stumbled upon this product is a long story. To cut it short, I was craving for kumkumadi tailam after reading one of Jomol’s articles and began my hunt for one. But I could not find it anywhere in Hyderabad where I stay. Then I learnt about Kama’s version of the beauty fluid and having checked about their outlet in GVK mall online, I went there and was highly disappointed to know that the store was no longer there. I was a sad puppy. My friend then took me to the Forrest Essential’s outlet to lift my spirits up and even there I could not stop blabbering about kumkumadi with the SA. And the result – I left the shop with an SA’s promise of an equivalent product to kumkumadi tailam and a gaping hole in my pocket

Little I knew then, that this was an age defying product (not mentioned on the package).I was 22 back then and was hesitant to use it. I gave it to my mom but she was reluctant to use an oil on her oily skin. So since I spent a fortune on the product I decided to give it a chance hoping that starting an anti-aging regime early would not harm me.

Product Description:

This unique Ayurvedic recipe visibly diminishes the signs of ageing, as it eliminates fine lines and restores firmness. Amongst its incredibly effective ingredients is Ashwagandha, a plant used in traditional Indian medicines and regarded as a strong antioxidant with tremendous rejuvenating properties. Formulated with Black Sesame which keeps skin supple, soft and toned, Sweet almond oil which is the most nutritious adds glow and deeply moisturizes. Aged cow’s milk Ghee gives a lusture to the skin and nourishes it while restoring firmness, increasing collagen and eliminating fine lines. Sandalwood retains moisture levels and is toning and purifying. Saffron extract gives the skin a warm glow. Turmeric is a strong anti-oxidant that prevents the ageing of the skin and evens out skin tone and colour. Liquorice is excellent for keeping skin moist and hydrated, Cow’s milk restores firmness and increases collagen production, 24 K Gold Bhasm is an excellent anti-oxidant and has the property of penetrating to the deepest layer of skin thereby providing radiance and increasing elasticity. This potent serum increases the production of collagen, dramatically improves elasticity, leaving the skin radiant with a satin texture. Continuous use for 6 to 8 weeks shows a noticeable improvement in the luminosity and texture of your skin.

Making of the Product:

The pure Gold Bhasma is prepared according to traditional Ayurvedic methods and infused in a mix of oils, herbs, fresh cow’s milk, ghee and roots. It is simmered over a slow fire and left to cure in copper vats which impart their own properties to the Serum to make it more effective for skin.

This divine smelling serum comes in a classic Forrest Essentials packaging screaming Indian & luxury. It has a pump dispenser which helps in applying the serum mess free .The packaging is quite sturdy and very travel friendly. I dropped it accidently from my bag quite a few times giving myself a heart attack each time but never this beauty had a dent or crack in it!

My Experience with Forest Essentials Advanced Soundarya age defying facial Serum with 24K Gold:

The serum is transparent dark brown in colour with has a medium consistency. It glides on my skin like a charm. I have an oily skin and just one pump is enough for my entire face and neck. Dry skin beauties might need an extra half pump for more hydration. But more than one pump would be overboard for oily skin. It has a mystical scent. Almost divine. A rich herbal kind of smell, similar to the one you get as you enter the stores of FE. If you enjoy that scent then you would love this too. I cannot comment on the anti-ageing properties, it’s too early for me. But as a night time moisture care it’s a very good product. I only apply this serum at night after my CT routine and skip my moisture. I love the hydration it gives. I have never faced any breakout’s and have always woke up with soft smooth skin. My friend who has dry skin tried this serum and it has become her HG product since then. She swears by the hydration it gives her and has used only this in her routine even during the winters. My skin tone has evened out with regular use. I think the results would be even better in the long run.

No I will not repurchase. My hunt for original kumkumadi tailam continues……..
Overall I recommend this to readers who want to incorporate a serum in their night care with age defying properties. But for someone who is not ready yet and just wants some hydration, I think you can find a better priced product. Or you can join my hunting party.
