I am back with a Forest Essentials Hair Cleanser review – this time, it’s the Bengal Tuberose version. I have reviewed Madurai Jasmine and Bitter Orange and Cinnamon hair cleansers this past week. From the past two reviews, you must have guessed that I am not too gung ho about these hair cleansers from Forest Essentials. They have natural extracts, free from parabens and sulfates, but kill the bounce in my curly/wavy hair, that’s the major disappointment. Find out whether this Bengal Tuberose variant falls into the same category or has something different to offer 😛
This nutrient rich shampoo for normal to dry hair contains reetha, soya protein, coconut oil, herbal infusions, and tuberose essential oils. Gives natural shine, swing, and fragrance. Against animal testing, paraben free.
Rs. 680 for 200 ml (the price has been hiked to Rs. 775 now).
My Take on Forest Essentials Bengal Tuberose Hair Cleanser:
This one smells absolutely divine! Yes, it’s a scent that even “floral scent” haters would like to linger in their hair. I am absolutely bowled by this beautiful, floral, rich, calming fragrance. The fragrance stays in my hair for two days and is a scent I would love to stay in my hair. Coming to the packaging, it’s the usual 200 ml bottle packaging and the consistency of the shampoo is thick, but lathers well even in thoroughly oiled hair. This cleanser is formulated for normal to dry hair, but I think it’s suitable for all hair types. It doesn’t dry out hair like the Bitter Orange and Cinnamon variant.
Out of the three hair cleansers that I have tried, I like this the most. The first reason is that it does not dry out my hair. Secondly, the fragrance is great. Most importantly, my hair doesn’t grease up on the second or third day, I can wash hair either on the third day or fourth day, which is great, because with the previous two, I thought my hair was greasing up faster.
It makes hair clean and clears off oil and dirt pretty good. Also, it tames frizzy hair. I haven’t seen any effect on dandruff, though I do not have much dandruff now. Also, doesn’t have any effect on hair fall, doesn’t aggravate and does not help any existing hair fall issue.
I would label this cleanser as an average shampoo with great ingredients. You wouldn’t get bouncy hair, but does add shine to the hair. I know that these shampoos with ayurvedic formulations do a lot good to the hair and that’s why I am still sticking on to them, but I am alternating these with L’Oreal Total Repair 5 Shampoo whenever I feel that my hair is falling flat.
Those who are looking for paraben-free shampoos, this is a good option. I also think there’s no sulfate and they have made use of natural extracts to work up a lather. I guess you cannot have everything in a single product and that’s why I am not going to completely avoid Forest Essentials hair cleansers. However, as mentioned in the previous hair cleanser reviews, I love bouncy hair, and that’s why I am not going to make a complete switch to Forest Essentials either 😛
