Forest Essentials Floral Makeup Remover Review

Forest Essentials Floral Makeup Remover

Hi everybody,

I have seen a lot of people raving about Forest Essential’s stuff and now that I have bought a few of their products I know why. I bought the Kashmiri saffron face wash, rose water toner and this floral makeup remover. I loved all of them completely and here is the review of the makeup remover.

My experience with Forest Essential’s floral makeup remover:

Initially, I used to run away from oil based makeup removers because I hated that oily film that they left behind but with time I understood that to properly clean my eye makeup I do need to use an oil based makeup remover only. Then many options that I bought either used to sting me or for some or the other reason I did not like them. Then, when I was in the Forest Essential’s store, I found this one and I tried it out. It did not give me any chemical kind of feel, it did not sting me and I found the list of oils in the ingredients quite impressive so I picked it up.

The packaging is sturdy; it comes in a square shaped plastic bottle with a golden cap. When you open the cap there are two holes one small and one comparatively large and these holes are closed by a plastic cork kind of thing. So whenever I have to use it, I pull the cork out ooze out the oil on cotton and wipe off my makeup. The amount to be used comes out in a very controlled manner just as much we want.

The product is a mixture of oils extracted from various flowers. It does not have any overpowering fragrance, it is subtle and jasmine is the dominant fragrance. Otherwise, I am not fond of jasmine fragrance but this is very very mild. The oil wipes off the makeup in one stroke and is not too greasy or tacky in any way. It does really give a very luxurious feel while usage. You can actually sense that these oils are natural and not a trace of chemical is found in this. Apart from removing makeup, it nourishes my skin. Even if I use it for my whole face, I do not find it too oily or something. Girls with already oily skin may limit its usage to eyes and lips only. It does not irritate my eyes at all even when I remove my mascara with this; I had this problem with the Maybelline one. I am not saying that removing mascara is a pleasing process with this one 😛 but at least it does not add up to the misery.

Also, I need a very little of this for each time. The bottle you see in the pictures is clicked after using it for at least 10 times. So it would go a long way for me. I am really impressed with this one, it gives me the satisfaction that I am nourishing my eyes while I remove my makeup and not treating them with yet another chemical.
