Forest Essentials Lip Balm Kokum Butter and Honey Review

Forrest Essentials Lip Balm Kokum Butter and Honey

Hello Lovely People!
When winters arrive my hand automatically gets drawn towards Lip Balms. I buy any and every possible lip balm in my line of sight…hehe! Well, not every but quite a few!

I had gone to Galleria Market, Gurgaon and was happy to find an exclusive FE store and the entire product range. I was curiously looking around. I was reading the Lip Balm ingredients when SA asked me if would like to try it. I tried but didn’t buy it right away as 500 bucks for a lip balm was way too much. I went out with my friends to café nearby ate and came out to realize that my lips don’t feel chap at all, which doesn’t happen at all with me. I am like a compulsive lip balm applier and apply after every 10 mins. I am a lip balm addict…☺! So I went back and bought it!

Ingredients
Kokum Butter
Kokum Butter is often used as a substitute for Cocoa Butter due to its uniform triglyceride composition. It melts when it comes into contact with the skin. Kokum Butter is composed of beneficial compounds that help to regenerate skin cells. It’s commonly used in skin healing lotions, creams and body butters, as well as soaps, cosmetics and toiletries.

Honey
Honey has humectant qualities; as a result, it can be used as a moisturiser in many cosmetic preparations. It not only attracts water but also retains it in the skin, so the skin remains supple and elastic. It also protects against wrinkles and dryness.

What I love about Forrest Essentials Lip Balm

Whenever one uses any lip balm or any lip product all of them stay topically. They take a long while to get absorbed by the skin unless applied before one sleeps. Even my HG Lip Balm the Neutrogena one did the same it worked well till the time the product was on the lips and the moment it get rubbed off lips would feel dry again.

But with FE Lip Balm it wasn’t the same. 10-15 minutes after applying the product it get absorbed and then the lips remain hydrated for longer as there is no chance of product rubbing off. The texture feels like hardened coconut oil. It stangely even smells of coconut to me even though its not mentioned anywhere …☺

Pros of Forrest Essentials Lip Balm

1. Easily absorbed
2. Smells divine
3. Nice Packaging, has a cute little mirror inside

Cons of Forrest Essentials Lip Balm

1. Even though I like the packaging but for a lip it’s not suitable.
2. Expensive
3. Not available easily
4. Has a very weird taste, like some mineral oil or something

Verdict
I like the product for its hydrating power but it’s expensive and tastes really weird.

Would I repurchase?
Not this one but I have my eye on the sugared rose from FE.

Would I recommend this to anyone?
For people who don’t find normal lip balms to work very well for them. For others can give it a try!

Rating
3.5/5 (1 for weird taste, 0.5 for price)
