Forest Essentials Luxury Sugar Soap Review

Forest Essentials Luxury Sugar Soap Review

Hello IMBB Beauties,
I have been a regular reader of this site for the past 10 months and finally decided to write reviews. I recently got married and during honeymoon I got to experience many Forest Essentials products which were provided in the resort. I am almost addicted to Forest Essentials products and my review is on Luxury Sugar Soap.

Yup its seriously luxurious product priced at Rs.225 for 125 Gms.

So let us see the key ingredients listed:
Virgin Coconut oil, cold pressed Organic Almond oil, raw cane sugar, glycerin, vitamin e, reetha, turmeric essential oil, sandalwood essential oil

What the product claims:
All our soaps are made by hand using the old-fashioned cold process. Our clear sugar soaps are made with pure Cane Sugar along with pure Cold-Pressed Oils, Herbal Infusions, Organic fruit and vegetables and natural spring water, and the by-products like glycerine are retained, unlike commercially made soaps. The pure oil of this aromatic wood is renowned for its soothing and therapeutic qualities. When mixed with natural wild Turmeric, with its antiseptic and skin brightening properties, it creates a blend which purifies and refines the skin, giving it a sensual sheen.

My experience with this soap:
I was thoroughly impressed looking at the ingredient list and immediately bought it πŸ™‚ This is a transparent soap and there are almost 15 variants. I chose sandalwood and turmeric variant as it smelled better. My skin feels squeaky clean after using this soap. At the same time doesn’t dry the skin too. Gives a temporary glow after using this soap. Need to handle this soap with care as it tends to get over soon. Over all this is a good soap

What I like ABOUT Forest Essentials Luxury Sugar Soap:
1. smells divine. The sandalwood fragrance really energizes me. Suit sensitive nose too.
2. Doesn’t dry skin at the same time doesn’t make skin oily. So I believe this would suit all skin types
3. Contains exotic ingredients which will do good for skin in the long run.
4. I have a temporary brightening effect after using this soap
5. This soap is gentle enough that I don’t need to use a face Wash.; yup….here I saved money
6. Not tested on animals. So cruelty free
7. I don’t see any harmful chemicals listed
8. This can be a good gift for friends. People would love this soap.

What I don’t like Forest Essentials Luxury Sugar Soap:
1. The price is steep.
2. The soap will last only for 20-25 days πŸ™

My Rating would be 4 for this soap. -1 for the price

Will I repurchase: Definitely. But I would like to try their butter soaps too as I have dry skin.

Love,
Sudha

  1. Nice review Sudha :waytogo: but its rather too expensive as a soap that lasts only around 20 days πŸ™

  2. Price is on higher side, You can try thr Fab india ones , they are available at a cheaper rate than this, you would love them, except the price I like everything, but you have sandalwood variant na? Sandalwood to for oily skin, it draws all oil and good for curing pimples, you sure its not drying?? sandalwood doesnt suit me, I had once bought sandalwood pack without knowing when I was 16 or something, it made my skin more dry ! :yikes:

    1. Thanks Tapaswini for the reco πŸ™‚ I have tried fab India jasmine and shea butter soaps. But this is far better. I agree sandalwood is drying…But this is summer na ….so I guess this soap didnt dry…But yup will not buy sandal from now on

      1. Sandalwood and drying?? When I was a teen with super-oily skin, I hated sandalwood for the fact that it made my skin too too oily. The only sandalwood that i would use on my skin was red sandalwood (rakta chandan) which suited my skin wonderfully well! πŸ™‚ Even now I use face packs containing sandalwood only in winter. In summer, I feel it makes my combi-oily skin too oily! ?:)

  3. i love love love forest essentials……. i ll defntly get this :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

  4. welcome to IMBB sudha. πŸ™‚ FE products are quite nice but they are expensive. It looks nice but I guess i’d skip atm. I am in my body wash usage phase these days. πŸ˜€

  5. FE products are definitely good πŸ™‚ …but soap bars dont really suit my skin…i can only use shower gels or body washz…:(

    1. Cali if you have super dry skin dear, then this soap contains sandalwood na, it will dry your skin more na?

        1. Sandalwood is used by oily skin people to remove excess oil and also soothes pimples but when used on dry skin, dries the skin more, if the soap contains less qt sandalwood then good but me will suggest this to oily skin people

          1. Actually I have funny skin..oily combination on face and super dry on body..my skin only is confused!! :wilt: I have to use completely opposite products for my face and rest of the body….

  6. Hii Sudha nyc review :waytogo: ..I love forest essentials like hell and i have their jasmine n marigold shower wash and matching body cream..the fragrance’s amazing n it leaves the skin soo damn silky soft! And iI got it in April and it’s just over half the bottle done..will last another month or two n is priced at 425..i love it better than my body shop shower gel! Do try it! :yahoo:

  7. Hey sudha- congrats on your wedding… even Im in body wash phase these days πŸ˜€
