Today, I will be sharing a body lotion review with you all, it’s from the most luxurious ayurvedic brand “Forest Essentials.” I have been wanting to try out the “Nargis” fragrance since a long time. I had heard so many people talk about how great this smells and it got me excited too. I loved the whole shopping experience from Forest Essentials. Now, let’s get to the review straightaway.
Price:
I bought it a fortnight ago for INR 1175. It’s now being sold at INR 1375. They really hike their prices too often I feel *idk*
Product Description:
My Experience with Forest Essentials Nargis Ultra Rich Body Lotion:
This body lotion comes in a tall plastic bottle. The bottle is a bit bulky and hence not easy to carry around in the bag during travels. It has a pump applicator that is protected by a flimsy plastic cap. As compared to the other products, the packaging seems okay, but they could have done better, it doesn’t look like a luxurious product to me.
The label describes it as an “ultra rich” body lotion, so I assumed that the lotion might be thick, but I was gladly proven wrong. The lotion is runny and hence gets absorbed into the skin quickly. I love the texture because it’s already too humid in Mumbai and I don’t want a heavy lotion, so this one’s a great option. It doesn’t feel like anything after I have applied the lotion. It feels very light and I can go on to apply my sunscreen without having to worry about the layers of product that will make my skin feel heavy.
It moisturizes my skin very well and I don’t need to reapply it throughout the day. A little amount of the lotion goes a long way and since it is summers, you don’t need a whole lot of lotion any way. This would easily last me 4-5 months even if I use daily.
Now, saving the best feature of this lotion for the last, i.e., the fragrance! When was in the store, I really couldn’t smell the lotion at all. That might be because the store had so many amazing fragrances flying around, I couldn’t specifically smell this lotion. I bought this ultra rich body lotion blindly, trusting people who have said that it smells amazing. When I came home, I checked out the fragrance, and and oh my God! This smells so floral and fresh! It has a very nostalgic fragrance, I think. It reminds me of the times my mom used to wear a “gajra.” It is really awesome and I’m super happy that I bought this. The fragrance is strong initially, but when you rub in the lotion, it settles to a mild one, but you can still get a whiff of the fragrance when you move your hands around.
The fragrance lasts on me for about 7 hours if I’m indoors, but when I’m travelling or when I’m out, it lasts 3 hours maximum. That is slightly disappointing because I really love the fragrance and it doesn’t last long when outdoors. I keep this in my closet and it already smells of this even with the cap on! I really love how my closet smells now 😛

Pros of Forest Essentials Nargis Ultra Rich Body Lotion:
- Lightweight lotion that gets easily absorbed into the skin.
- Provides enough moisture to the skin.
- Skin doesn’t feel parched.
- Heavenly fragrance.
- Doesn’t make me sweat even during harsh, humid climate.
- The lotion feels and smells luxurious.
- Fragrance lasts long when indoors.
Cons of Forest Essentials Nargis Ultra Rich Body Lotion:
- Packaging could have been better.
- Yes, it is expensive.
- Fragrance isn’t that long lasting when outdoors.

Final Verdict:
I have made up my mind to repurchase this solely because it smells divine! You just have to buy this one! I know it’s expensive, but sometimes, you gotta treat yourself! 😉
