Product Description:

A purifying gel made with fresh Aloe Vera and distilled water of five flowers including Rose, Jasmine, Saffron, Marigold and Kevda. This light, cool facial gel contains Kewda water which is an antioxidant and cooling. Pure Rosewater is a natural astringent. It tones, diminishes fine lines and rehydrates the skin. Marigold water or Calendula has a high content of flavonoids that act as anti-oxidants in the body. Bela water helps retain skin moisture. Saffron gives the skin a warm and health glow and smoothes texture. Genhu, prevents premature aging. It helps in drainage of secretions from the sebaceous glands of the skin and thereby helps in preventing black heads.

My Experience with Forest Essentials Panchpushp Replenishing Facial Gel:

I love Forest Essentials Products (period!). Majorly because its products are pretty harmless and gentle on the skin and I have seen FE products working for most of the people who have used them. I agree they are a little pricey and they do take their own sweet time to deliver results, but I haven’t come across a product from them which has harmed my skin in any way. I think I should do a post on my favourite FE products 😛

Forest Essentials Facial Gel 2

Forest Essentials offers 3 hydrating gels, out of which Rati has already reviewed The Rose Water one and Vini reviewed Aloe Vera.  I am reviewing here today the third one, which is their Panchpushp version.

Forest Essentials Panchpushp gel is a light weight, clear, yellow-amber coloured gel which seeps/sinks into the skin in no time, leaving it soft and supple. I have used other facial gels and most of them leave my skin with a stretchy/sticky feel and dry patches, but that’s not the case with this panchpushp gel. It’s just perfect for my combination skin, takes care of the dry patches on my skin and does not make it greasy either. On immediate application, it gives a nice cooling; soothing effect which I like (especially for my summer skin), but the effect just lasts for a few minutes.

Forest Essentials Facial Gel 4

I love the fragrance this gel carries; it’s just so amazing and pretty much like their panchpushp toner.

The panchpushp gel comes in a pretty jar (thick plastic-glass like) with a screw off golden cap.  A plastic lid is included to cover the mouth of the jar. I find the jar to be slightly bulky and not really great for carrying during travel (it looks nice, sitting on the dresser though :D)

I finished off 3 of these jars last year, from May to September. The fourth one was half used when I switched to their Madurai Jasmine and Mogra Light Day Lotion in Mid October when my skin felt drier. I have resumed using the gel now, with the onset of summers here in Delhi. It’s a staple in my summer skin care regime and I have to repurchase it.

This product is good for you if you have combination to oily skin and if you are looking for a mild moisturising product. I have used it for a long time and I haven’t seen it deliver any anti-ageing benefits, so it can be easily used by all age groups. I won’t recommend it to ladies with existing acne/break outs. I mean it does not aggravate acne or breaks me out, but it does nothing to treat them either being a mild product, which is not very high on chemicals.

What I Like about Forest Essentials Panchpushp Replenishing Facial Gel:

  • Lightweight gel.
  • Makes my skin soft and smooth.
  • Its intoxicating-heavenly fragrance.
  • Aptly hydrates my combination skin.
  • Does not make my skin greasy.
  • Has a temporary cooling effect on application.
  • Does not aggravate acne or cause breakouts.
  • The pretty packaging (ignoring the fact that I prefer skin care products in tubes over tubs/jars).
  • Paraben free formula.
  • The whole ingredients list is such a delight to read.

What I Do Not Like about Forest Essentials Panchpushp Replenishing Facial Gel:

  • Its pricey for the quantity offered (like most FE products).
  • The jar is a little bulky.
  • Sparsely available.

  2. Great Review, Nupur. 🙂 I had a ques here….I am getting pimples nowadays and going to derma for treatment…but kind of nothing helping..it has got reduced but still not completely gone. *headbang* *headbang* *headbang* *headbang* ..do you think using FE products might help for pimples or I must be away from them as of now…. *scared* *scared*

    1. Thanks neha 🙂 I wud suggest u shud continue with the treatment as suggested by your derma for d time being. When u feel ur pimples have subsided to a good extent, u can try FE products, like thr multani mitti ubtan, saffron n neem cleanser. But if u have othervise acne-pimple prone skin then u shud also try brands like vichy, la roche posay. Basically FE products r v mild on the skin 🙂
      Hope this helps ! 🙂

  3. I prefer gel moisturiser during summers as my skin is at oilier side
