Today, I have come with a review of another star product from Forest Essentials. It is the Bengal Tuberose Silkening shower wash. I am sure most of you have already heard rave reviews of the Bengal tuberose fragrance of Forest Essentials range. Let’s see if it lives up to the claims and standards set by the shower oil and body lotion from the same range .
Price: INR 775 for 200 ml
Product Claims: These gentle washes have active ingredients to cleanse and exfoliate for silken and smooth skin. Among their purely natural ingredients are valuable Rice protein oil and regenerative Rice Bran. Rice Bran oil is antioxidant and rich in nutrients. The Oryzanol present in Rice Bran slows down melanin pigmentation and keeps skin smooth. Aloe Vera has strong soothing and moisture retaining properties and stimulates skin regeneration. Gokharu revitalizes, dull dry skin, also firms and tones. Olive Oil is a source of anti-oxidants and neutralizes free radicals that damage the skin and accelerate the aging process. It is moisturizing and skin rejuvenating. Bamboo is cooling and astringent. Vrihi helps to soften the skin. The cleansing agents are derived from Coconut and Corn and are 100% sulphate free. Coconut oil is softening, has lightening and moisturizing properties. Tuberose, like Jasmine, has a heady floral scent. In Ayurvedic texts, Tuberose Attar is held in high esteem for not only its exquisite fragrance but also its calming and soothing qualities. Forest Essentials Shower Wash Bengal Tuberose contains carefully selected herbs, as per Ancient Ayurvedic texts. They are known for their nourishing and cleansing properties. Herbs like Genhu, Sonapatha and Bamboo gently cleanse the skin. Anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of Bala and Gokharu heal and repair the skin by preventing it from effects of free radicals.
How to use: Use a small amount on wet skin in shower to cleanse the body. Can be used with a loofah to exfoliate surface dead cells. Rinse well.
USP: Cleanses without stripping natural moisture. • It is 100% natural and free from any Sulphates, Parabens, Petroleum, GMO, and Formaldehyde, PEGS, artificial color, synthetic fragrance and animal testing.
My Experience with the Forest Essentials Silkening Shower Wash Bengal Tuberose:
This shower wash comes in a lovely and sturdy standard Forest Essentials packaging. The bottle though bulky, is still travel-friendly, since it is not prone to leakages. I am not sure if FE makes a trial size version of this or not.
The shower wash is a milky transparent liquid. It smells ahmazing! So exotic, sensuous and, somehow very Indian. No wonder Bengal Tuberose is such a revered range in Forest Essentials.
This shower wash, even though all natural and free of SLS etc, lathers rather well. It is deeply moisturizing .I does not make my skin feel dry or stretchy, so I don’t have and urge to immediately apply a body lotion. But, then again, body lotion is something you should not miss in fact, if you have it in the same fragrance, it makes for awesome layering.
I have a teeny tiny problem with this shower wash. It leaves behind a tacky feeling if not rinsed out well. Actually, all moisturizing shower gels do that, do not even get me started on Olay shower creams.
Summing up the pros and cons for you:
Pros of Forest Essentials Silkening Shower Wash Bengal Tuberose:
• Amazing fragrance
• All-natural product
• Lathers well
• Fragrance lingers easily for 2-3 hours
Cons of Forest Essentials Silkening Shower Wash Bengal Tuberose:
• It leaves behind a tacky feeling if not rinsed really well.
IMBB Rating: 4.5
Final Verdict on Forest Essentials Silkening Shower Wash Bengal Tuberose:
It is one of the better body washes that I have tried. It lies at par with Victoria’s Secret washes for fragrance and a notch (okay 2 notches) below Olay shower washes for moisturization. Recommended!!
