Forever 21 Oil-Blotting Paper with Compact Review

Blotting paper is a must have product for oily skin beauties and I have used a couple of them from various brands. Today, I am going to share my view on Forever 21 Oil-Blotting paper compact. Let’s get into the details.

My Experience with Forever 21 Oil-Blotting Paper with Compact:

The product comes in a nice silver clear plastic pouch and the actual blotting paper is nicely placed in a teal green colored square plastic box that looks like a compact powder box. This box has a nice mirror and also has a pretty pink colored compact puff.

This puff is very interesting; it is not a normal puff. It has some sticky front that easily sticks on the blotting paper and helps to hold it easily. So, I don’t need to pull the paper with my hands. This puff automatically pulls it and I need to press it on my face to blot the oil. It has a holder that makes it easy to use. I don’t know how many papers it has because there is no information about it. But, the quantity looks nice; I think it contains almost 50 sheets.

This blotting paper comes in a small square sized, normal white colored fine paper. The size is quite small than the usual blotting papers so, it looks very less and it’s not sufficient for my whole face. This paper is nice and smooth in texture that never irritated my skin. Once I am done with the paper, I just need to peel it off from the compact and it is very easy. But, as it sticks onto the puff, I can’t properly understand when it becomes fully oily or when I need to change it. It works nicely to blot the oil on my face but, I need almost three papers to do this job properly.

Hence, it can’t properly mattify my skin. This works really good to absorb the oil from my T-zone. It nicely removes excess oil from my face and makes it soft and non-shiny. I have a super oily skin so, it is very useful for me. But, I am not fully satisfied with it. Sometimes, it can’t absorb all of my facial oil and this paper gets finished quickly and I need to change it. Though the changing and blotting technique is quite easy due to this sticky puff, I still wish it came with a better size. Also, this fresh result doesn’t stay long so, it needs frequent reapplication. I don’t think it will last long for me.

But, the good part about this product is, it soaks up the sweat nicely and doesn’t get wet quickly. So, if my face turns sweaty this blotting paper helps to make it dry and fresh without removing any makeup. It doesn’t soak my foundation or makeup so, it only works on the oil and sweat. Hence, it keeps my face smooth and soft.

If you have a combination skin and want to blot your T-zone then it works nicely. This small size takes a long time for the full face and needs an extra effort. Also, this is a box compact which is not too light-weight like the other normal blotting papers.

I like this overall packaging and concept but, it doesn’t provide me with that quick matte finish. So, it is not suitable for my super oily skin. But, it is quite affordable. I have decided to keep this box for future uses and I will store my bigger blotting papers because I love this compact.

• Too small size; needs lots of paper and time to blot the full face.
• Can’t mattify my skin properly.
• Oil free result doesn’t last long.
