Megha asks:

Hi

I am 29 yrs old hand I have dry skin. I have a few dark spots around my nose and slightly uneven skin tone as well. Currently I am using Colorbar mineral foundation but now-a-days when I apply it, my face looks dark and feels like as if I have not applied any makeup, it completely blends on my face but does not give full coverage to my face. I have a wheat-ish complexion and in winters, after applying moisturizer I tend to look dark. Kindly suggest a foundation which gives full coverage and also a moisturizer which will not make me look dark. If possible, a tutorial on how to apply a perfect makeup foundation and make up base would be great. Please suggest the brands for foundation and compact too.

  1. Revlon foundations are good. Lotus new range is really good. You can try that. The SA are very helpful now a days. Carry a camera with you. Try different shades and take photograph and check out if it really suits you.

    1. which one from revlon. colorstay or photoready. which shade should i try. nude or medium beige for full coverage. which compact to get complete make up base.

  2. Megha, u can try any of ths for ur dry skin and medium to full coverage
Maybelline Dream liquid mousse foundation, Revlon colorstay(normal skin version) , Max factor age renew foundation.

  3. Lotus purestay foundation is good. I think Hazelnut Star will suit you best. It does not oxidize. Also you can try for a compact from the same range. I tried the revlon colorstay in the store and it did not suit me. But the Photoready suited me. Medium Beige will look good. ITs best you try one brand on one day and the next the other. First try the Lotus counter. You will not be disappointed.

  4. I agree with everyone. Lotus has come up with great products. I use their foundation and compact from their NaturalBlend range. Loving them. You just hav to try out all the shades on your jawline and not your hand. Since the color on your hand rarely matches your face. I also have wheatish and dry skin. But before applying any compact, I would suggest applying a moisturizer- right now I am using Banjaras neem fairness cream- its dead cheap and gives a healthy glow. I’ve reviewed it here.

  5. Try bourjois healthy mix foundation…i hav combination wheatish skin thats tends to be more dry in winters now and this suits me really well in this season..:)
