Freeman Bare Foot Self-Warming Peppermint & Plum Foot Scrub Review
Hello ladies š š
I have been so busy with āother thingsā during the recent weeks that I couldnāt catch up with IMBB, and I felt so bad. The āother thingsā include a presentation for my research (I won a prize for it :)) and a friendās engagement that turned out to be a get-together for our group. Now I thought it was high time to write a review.
I shifted to my native last year, and as we all know, change of location brings in lot of negative and positive changes. One of the negative things that I got was āvery bad feetā. My feet had become so rough, dirty and accumulated with dead skin and it was on the verge of developing cracks. I really hate cracked feet and touch wood; Iāve never got cracked heels in my life. Iād heard about āFreemanā brand through IMBB , so some weeks back when I was surfing online, I found this scrub and bought it. Let us find out whether it did its job.
Price:
Rs.220 for 100 mL (Purchased for Rs.180/-)
What it claims:
This exfoliating foot scrub produces a therapeutic warming sensation that soothes aching feet, while softening rough, dry skin. With a refreshing scent of Peppermint of invigorate the senses and natural extracts of Tea Tree oil to revitalize.
To use:
Rub between hands and apply directly to damp feet, focusing on rough areas. Rinse well.
Packaging:
It is a foot-shaped tube with a lime color. The pack is flip-open. It is easy to carry.
Texture:
The texture is gel like and very, very thick. I really need to make an effort to get it out of the tube. It contains minute pumice particles that are the key to scrubbing and some plum extracts are seen.
Application:
Even though it is very thick, the amount needed is just mediocre. As soon as we rub it between hands, it spreads evenly and produces a little foam. The gel spreads very evenly.
Fragrance:
Even though it is claimed that it has a peppermint fragrance, I found the fragrance more overpowered by plum extract.
My take on Freeman Bare Foot Self-Warming Peppermint and Plum Foot Scrub:
I make my hands and feet damp and rub it between my hands, that is when the warming sensation comes for just about 30 seconds, after which it vanishes. Iāve got Ā feet ache at times, but the warming sensation is not enough to soothe them. So the self-warming claim has no meaning. However, the scrubbing effect is very good. I rub it on my feet for a few minutes about twice a week. It makes my feet soft and supple and removes all the dead skin (thank heavens; I was saved from those cracked feet!). The gel spreads very evenly and pumice particles are so minute that they will not make you feel anything coarse going through your feet. I use my hands just as a base, but they also become soft after rinsing. But one problem with this is the fragrance, the plum fragrance is so overpowering that it can spread in your entire room, the fragrance lasts for some hours. So people who donāt like it can face a problem.
Pros of Freeman Bare Foot Self-Warming Peppermint and Plum Foot Scrub:
ā¢ It has very minute pumice particles that donāt feel coarse.
ā¢ The gel spreads very evenly and makes feet feel soft.
ā¢ It removes all the dead skin.
ā¢ It has natural peppermint and plum extracts along with Tea tree oil.
ā¢ Reasonably priced, and easy to carry.
Cons of Freeman Bare Foot Self-Warming Peppermint and Plum Foot Scrub:
ā¢ The gel has a very thick consistency, so difficult to ooze out of the pack.
ā¢ The fragrance of plum is very overpowering.
ā¢ No moisturizing effect as such which wont last longer either.
IMBB Rating:
3.5/5
