Freeman Facial Clay Mask with Chocolate and Strawberry Review

Freeman Facial Clay Mask with Chocolate and Strawberry Review

Hi Lovelies,

I am reviewing another face mask by Freeman today.

Freeman Facial Clay Mask with Chocolate and Strawberry Review

The whole range of Freeman products are not available in Australia, and the ones available are quite overpriced. However, I was satisfied with the couple of masks I bought in Australia and wanted to try more. Just in time, my friend Ali went to US on a holiday and I asked her to do a small face mask haul for me. She bought me back some sachets, as she knows I like to try them out first and see if they suit me. I asked her to bring the chocolate and strawberry mask as I was quite attracted to it. It looked so yummy and as I already had used the Montagne Jeunesse chocolate face mask and was quite happy with chocolate masks in general. This is a deep pore cleansing one and I have started using deep cleansing masks recently, they work well on clearing my nose area. The sachet was big, but I later realised that only half is filled with face mask. The top part is actually a coupon. So the actual sachet can only be used twice on face and neck.

Product Description:

This clay mask smells so yummy yet still helps tone skin and diminishes the appearance of large pores as well as nourishing and moisturizing skin. Perfect for normal to combination skin types.

Price:

1.99 USD

My Experience with Freeman Facial Clay Mask with Chocolate and Strawberry:

As soon as I squeezed the product out, I got this amazing smell of chocolate. The texture was like chocolate mousse, it was light and creamy. It spreads easily and gives a non-messy application. It smelt totally delicious. However, I couldn’t smell strawberry at all. I left it on for around 15 minutes and I rinsed it off. It rinses off easily. My skin felt clean and refreshed after washing the mask off.  My skin felt clean and moisturised at the same time. My pores were also noticeably educed in size; however, it did not have much effect as the oatmeal and avocado mask with regards to reducing pore size and clearing blackheads. The mask was quite gentle on my skin and my skin didn’t feel tight or dry after washing off.

Clay Mask

Additionally, it also did not leave the chocolatey fragrance on my skin, which was a pro for me. This mask contains titanium dioxide, I don’t know why though. Since titanium dioxide is a physical sun block, I will expect to see this ingredient in a sunscreen/sun block; however, I was surprised to see this in a face mask.

Pros of Freeman Facial Clay Mask with Chocolate and Strawberry:

  • Smells of chocolate but does not leave a chocolatey fragrance after washing off.
  • As a deep pore cleansing mask, it cleans out pores well.
  • Contains key ingredients such as shea butter, cocoa butter and kaolin which are beneficial to skin.
  • This mask does not irritate skin or dry it out.
  • Skin feels clean and clear for a couple of days after using the mask.
  • This sachet I would say is overpriced at USD 1.99; however, the tube is only $3.99 and is very cheap and affordable mask.

Cons of Freeman Facial Clay Mask with Chocolate and Strawberry:

  • Contains parabens.
  • Contains titanium dioxide, I don’t know if this is really a con.
  • I expected this mask to be more moisturising as it contains shea butter; I definitely have to use moisturiser after this mask.

IMBB Rating:

4/5

I am quite happy with this mask and this one is a nice change from my regular Montagne Jeunesse masks. However, I feel the Freeman Avocado and oatmeal face mask is more of a stunner when compared to this.
