Fresh Rose Deep Hydrating Facial Toner, Sugar Face Polish, Black Tea Firming Corset Cream, Black Tea Age Delay Eye Corset Review

Skin Type : Normal to Dry

I think if there is one brand that I’d say has been my favourite discovery this year, it would be “Fresh. I absolutely lovvve this brand and honestly, I really wish they’d come to India. I am reviewing 4 products from Fresh that I have been using for past few months – Fresh Rose Deep Hydrating Facial Toner, Sugar Face Polish, Black Tea Firming Corset Cream, Black Tea Age Delay Eye Corset.

Fresh Rose Deep Hydrating Facial Toner (Price : $44 / INR 2800 approximately for 250 ml bottle):
Id I’d tell you the truth, I bought it only because the product is so absolutely gorgeous. It has real rose petals floating inside it. I am not a big toner person because I have normal to dry skin and I rely heavily on rose water as a toner and that’s the only thing that has worked for me for years. This Fresh Rose Toner is almost like a light lotion. It contains rose water, rose flower oil, angelica leaf extract and hyaluronic acid. So it’s like a step ahead of your regular rose water and I absolutely love using it right after face mask and even after washing my face. Some days, I find this enough on its own because it is so hydrating, especially after using a face mask, but mostly it has become a part of my regular skincare routine. I almost wish it were in a spray bottle, but I don’t mind taking it on a cotton pad or in between my palms and patting on my skin. It smells of fresh roses and makes your skin feel so refreshed and ready for the moisturiser to go on top. It never broke me out. My skin loves that extra bit of hydration. It’s very light so good for all skin types. Absolutely love it. If there is one product you have to try from Fresh, this is the one!

Fresh Sugar Face Polish (Price USD 62/ INR 4000 for 125 gm):
It is a brown sugar face scrub that contains real wild strawberries (vitamin C), plum seed oil and grape seed oil. I was a little wary of using a sugar scrub for my face, but the granules are very soft and once you start massaging, the product the granules melt and dissolve. Now my problem with this product is that I never feel that gives me enough time to exfoliate. It dissolves way too quickly and I am never really satisfied with the result I get. After using this, I do end up feeling the need to ‘really’ exfoliate.

If you are someone who has very sensitive skin, this might be right up your alley because it is quite gentle. I am always left with a lukewarm response with this one. Now I just use it as a mask. Leave it on for 20-25 minutes, massage, and rinse it off. I do it on days when my skin needs that extra boost of hydration. I love the citrusy sweet smell of the scrub. It does not strip off my skin of moisture. It rinses off easily. It leaves a light layer of moisture behind after you wash it off, which I don’t mind. Also, this comes in a white glass tub. A lot of time, the hands are wet when you are in a bath, so be careful while handling the jar because this would break easily. Even for the price point, I think it’s very steep. Did not break me out, did not “wow” me. I would use it till it lasts. Would not repurchase.

Fresh Black Tea Black Tea Firming Corset Cream. Price:  $95/INR 6000 for 50 ml.
I started using it quite slowly because we have a review on IMBB of Fresh Black Tea range that caused breakouts on the skin. So, I started using it only at night and then slowly shifted to using it both day and night, but still, I prefer using it mostly at night because I find it a bit heavy for day time. And the cream is really velvety thick and luxurious but enough to spread it easily on the skin. And best, it gets absorbed quickly without leaving any residue behind. The texture and feel of the cream is absolutely gorgeous for those with matured skin or someone with normal to dry skin. It has a subtle black tea fragrance, which I have started enjoying. I am pretty much halfway through the tub and I actually quite like it, but I also know when it gets over I would not miss it. It’s one of those good moisturisers that you use while they last and then you switch on to something else. For me, it’s more of an anti-ageing product but it’s targeted more for mature skin and can help in firming the skin. The mask (from the same range), is what I would always repurchase because that is like a miracle product for my skin. It did not break me out and leaves my skin hydrated and nourished after using it. This one is nice but not something I would miss in my cabinet when it gets over.

Fresh Black Tea Age Delay Eye Concentrate (Price : $ 78/ INR 5000 approx):
Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate with noni fruit juice diminishes and prevents signs of aging while moisturizing and visibly firming the eye area.” This eye cream comes packed in a little brown glass pot. I am quite particular about using under eye creams. My under eyes get quite dry and nothing short of intense moisturising creams work for me. This eye cream is EXCELLENT to say the least when it comes to providing that boost of nourishment, calmness and moisture to the under eye area. It does not feel heavy on the under eyes.

It gets absorbed quickly without leaving any oily residue behind. It feels a little cooling on the under eyes and helps reduce a bit of puffiness. I sometimes (whenever I remember to) just pop it in the fridge and use it cold to get that extra benefit. It smells of black tea but nothing overpowering and I love the fragrance. It did not cause milia around my eyes. It reminds me a lot of Kiehl’s Avocado Cream except this one is a tad bit thicker. So, if you can’t get hold of it, you can definitely pick the one by Kiehl’s. I adore this under eye cream. It gets absorbed quickly, so I use it before using concealers as well and I don’t feel any dryness underneath my eyes after using the makeup. It never stings my eyes. After using it, it gives that nice relaxed look to the under eyes. It’s also a great anti-ageing product if you are looking for something in that category. I have nothing but all good things to say about this under eye cream. A little goes a long way and it can easily last you good 4-5 months. I definitely wish the price was a bit less.

  1. I’ve been waiting for the review of the toner ever since i saw it in your haul. The products sound so lush. Incidentally, your haul also had the Fresh Seaberry oil. I know it is already reviewed on IMBB but just wanted to know how it worked for you. I’ve been lemming for it since ages but the price always holds me back.

  2. Kulpreet, I am not the biggest fan of that oil. It was not doing much for me and I am not exactly sure but I think it did break me out. Because I was using some of the products during that time and this was one of them. But more than that I never really felt it was doing anything for my skin.I found it quite heavy as well. I went back and repurchased my clarins oil. It not only healed my breakouts but makes my skin happier every time I use it.

The toner is more like an emulsion than just a rose water and I think that’s what makes it special. You should give it a try! 🙂
