I have been using Nivea and Dove body lotions for ages now and as I have always been comfortable with their range, I really didn’t bother to try other lotions from other brands. I have used all their new launches with new variants, as I find them the most soft and hydrating moisturisers. But my stance changed when I used Garnier Lotion two months ago. Well, it was a lazy winter weekend and I thought the most productive way to spend time is to visit a drugstore and hunt for new launches and offers.
I promenaded Superdrug store quite near to my place and checked many cosmetics, out of which I spotted Garnier range. The product description tempted me to pick and try at least once (And yes, purchased a couple of other products too :-). And those 2 hours turn out to be good and bad as well! Why? Not only I spent good time but also, spent more bucks purchasing many products! Well, good that I didn’t think of going to a departmental store, I would have been drawn to several things big time!)

My Experience With Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Lotion Aloe Vera:
As I have combination-oily skin, I tried the body Lotion with Aloe Vera, and I am glad I picked this up. It’s fast absorbent and has a very light texture. It is a non-greasy, creamy lotion and it feels like body butter. The skin is left feeling remarkably soft and intensely hydrated for a long time. It is a decent moisturiser leaving skin super smooth, protecting from dryness.
The lotion is enriched with L-Bifidus, which is inspired by probiotics found in yoghurt that helps to prevent moisture loss from the skin surface. It certainly helps to create an anti-evaporation effect maintaining long-lasting hydration. The main component is Aloe Vera, popularly known for its richness in vitamins and minerals, which has been selected to meet the specific needs of normal skin. It undeniably makes the skin feeling fresher and much softer immediately. I just love its refreshing fragrance, which is just perfect before you kick-start your day.
The lotion claims that the skin feels hydrated for up to 7 days after last application if used twice daily for 4 weeks (Consumer test on 51 subjects for 5 weeks)! Oh, certainly that’s a quite audacious claim! It also mentions that after just 7 days of use, skin’s quality is dramatically improved – it protects – dryness – 37%, roughness – 42% and suppleness +34%. Well, I would certainly agree for it definitely improved my skin quality. I can definitely say that my skin feels super soft and was perfectly moisturised throughout the day.
But honestly, I am not convinced about skin feeling hydrated for up to 7 days. My skin feels a little dry after shower and anyway, usually my skin turns a little dry after a shower and a moisturiser is definitely needed after that. Nevertheless, I think ‘feeling hydrated up to 7 days’ is little too much to believe!
I have been using it for more than 2 months; it is a good hydrating lotion keeping skin smooth and soft throughout the day!
Pros Of Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Lotion Aloe Vera:

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Lotion Aloe Vera?
Well, I would definitely recommend for its smoothing properties and lovely fragrance. Though, I am not that convinced about their brave claim about ‘7 days thing’, I am buying this next time!
