I don’t oil my hair that often, and when I do, I don’t keep it for a long time because it causes headache.  So, when Dove came out with the Dove Oil Therapy, I was very happy.  Recently, I got to pick Garnier Fructis Shampoo with Shampoo + Oil formula, thought it was a good idea to try this.  Garnier skin care products have never worked for me, but with Garnier Fructis, its a different story.

Product Description:

The oils penetrate each layer of hair and nourish it from within.  The shampoo cleans and strengthens the hair fiber. The shampoo and oil work together to give smooth, shiny, and healthy hair.  Contains olive oil, avocado oil, shea oil.

Directions To Use:

Apply on wet hair, gently massage to lather and rinse.

My Take on Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo + Oil 2 in 1:

Like all Garnier Fructis products, this one comes in an attractive packaging and smells really good and fruity.  Though the shampoo lathers really well, it takes a lot of water to rinse it off of the hair.  I felt that my hair was not entirely clean when I was rinsing, but then after my hair dried, I realized I was wrong.  My hair continued to smell good even after a day of shampooing.  This shampoo + oil combination did give me smooth and shiny hair.  There were not many tangles.

When I read through the ingredient list, I found out that though this shampoo contains SLS and laureth, it also contains some fruit extracts, namely black currant seed oil, olive fruit oil, castor oil, apple fruit extract, avocado oil, shea butter, lemon peel extract.  That’s a whole lot of good ingredients, that is if its true that they have included all these in the shampoo.

Even with the presence of all these oils, it does not limp down hair after one day.  There is no sticky or oily feeling after shampooing.  Also, I saw that I had less frizzy hair with this.  So, overall, this is a good shampoo, worth trying.  Personally, I would like to use it on a regular basis.
