Garnier Fructis Pure Volume Shampoo Claims

My Experience with Garnier Fructis Pure Volume Shampoo:

The shampoo comes in a green transparent bottle with the same coloured flip cap. The cap closes with a click and thus there are no chances of leakage. The cap opens and closes pretty easily. The shampoo doesn’t come sealed. There is information on the back of the bottle. The packaging is pretty basic.

Garnier Fructis Pure Volume Shampoo Back

The shampoo is clear and has a gel-like texture. The shampoo is thick and is not very runny. A little product is enough and I usually mix it with water to dilute. The smell is pleasant but feels a bit artificial. However, it fades away very soon.

The product lathers very well, maybe due to the presence of SLS and cleanses the hair thoroughly. It removes thick oils in one wash and I am pretty pleased with this. My previous shampoo had issues in removing even light oil and this quality made me happy as I often use castor oil on my hair.

The shampoo, since it makes the scalp clean, doesn’t make my hair greasy. I can go without a wash for around 3 days and my scalp still feels fresh. It adds a cooling effect when applied. I had a bit itchiness in my scalp in the night I had applied the shampoo; I am not sure if it was because of this or not, but it faded away after 2 days.

Garnier Fructis Pure Volume Shampoo Cap

The product is suitable for sensitive scalp too and the shampoo doesn’t contain parabens. The product has no built-in conditioner and thus, you need to make sure that you condition your hair with a good conditioner; else the chances of your hair drying is high. I already have dry ends and I have noticed that this shampoo makes the hair drier and I have been using a moisture serum to lock in the moisture.

So there is nothing much you can expect from this shampoo when it comes to nourishment. The shampoo doesn’t remove tangles either. Coming to the volume claim, the shampoo does impart volume to limp hair. I noticed that my hair looked fuller and there was a lift in my hair.

There was also added thickness in my hair and the hair had that oomph for 2 days. The results are temporary, and when you stop using the shampoo, the fullness disappears. The shampoo does add strength to the hair and you can notice fewer hair strands.
