My Take on Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Conditioner:

This is probably the most impressive drugstore conditioner that I have ever used. Lately, I have been using this one a lot and I am very happy with the results. In fact, I am happy enough to not bother wanting to repurchase my L’Occitane conditioner!

Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Conditioner 4

The Sleek and Shine range of products have been designed specifically for hair that gets frizzy and uncontrollable in humid weather. I am currently in Houston (which is a very humid city!) and this one is keeping my hair absolutely smooth, sleek and manageable.

The conditioner is a thick, creamy pale yellow formula that is very easy to apply. It immediately detangles my hair. The fragrance is a mild fruity one that does not linger in the hair for much longer after the wash. If you don’t like too much fragrance in your hair, then this a good choice.

My hair stays tame, smooth and manageable for at least three days after the wash—which makes this one true to its claims. My hair does tend to get frizzy, especially in humid weather, but this conditioner hasn’t allowed that to happen yet!

What I really like about this conditioner is that it washes off very easily. Many high-end conditioners have given me that sort of trouble—they are very difficult to wash off!

Finally, I would say that this leaves my hair smooth and tame, and adds just the right amount of shine to it. It is available in various sizes—the large bottle, which is the one I have, is available with a dispensing pump, making it very easy to use.

If you can get hold of this one, then I do recommend that you try it. It’s a great budget conditioner.

Pros of Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Conditioner:

  • Cuts out the frizz, even in humid weather conditions.
  • Keeps the hair soft, shiny, tame and manageable.
  • Detangles the hair (I have very fine hair that’s prone to tangling – this conditioner really helps me with that)/
  • Has a very mild fruity fragrance.
  • Washes off very easily.
  • Keeps the hair in great condition for at least three days.
  • Affordable.

Cons of Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Conditioner:

  • No con as such—for a drugstore conditioner, this one is pretty good!

My Verdict on Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Conditioner:

If you are looking for a conditioner that really works on frizzy hair, and is affordable, then do try this one out.

  1. Have seen sleek and shine range shampoo and conditioner at sams…Will these weigh down hair?I have natural wavy hair and i like it that way.

  2. I want to try these, especially since you have mentioned that you are not bothering to repurchase your L’occitane conditioners *woot*
