How are you guys managing your hair this summer! While most of you might crop your hair short, I tie up in a ponytail or a messy bun depending where I will be heading to! And nooo, this post is not about hairstyles most preferred in the summers.
I will be reviewing a style gel from Garnier Fructis Range and most of the products have turned out to be such duds (read: Shampoos) read on to know more how this turned out to be for me.

Little detail about my hair:
Fine Straight long hair. Becomes limp pretty soon as my hair is not very thick. In fact it’s thin. And looks dull (Thanks to my hair experiments! )
I pick almost every product which promises to add shine and helps in styling hair. This was one such purchase. Though I have non messy straight hair, I have been longing for curls now. I never let go of any opportunity like Weddings and other function’s and put all my heart and soul and lotsa money, curling my long hair. But alas, all they stay is maximum for an hour.
Did Garnier Fructis Style Wet Shine Gel make any difference?
The gel is transparent in color with a slight tinge of green to it. I got the STRONG variant assuming that it might hold on my styled hair for a longer time. I first tried by curling a small part of my side fringes, and used this. The shine and wet look claims – I felt were true. It indeed held my curls in place for about 3-4 hours, which I consider pretty long time on my hair. Nothing else till now has helped me in this. My hair looked like I had just set it, even after 2 hours.
I was pretty happy with the results and tried this on the same evening I had to go out for a dinner. As usual I expected it to work the same way it did previously. BUT. By the time I reached the venue, I felt like I came out after doing a Lara-croft stunt! It was all gone!
I feel this only works if you have feather light hair, that too, more on fringes. It never worked with my long hair even after I tried twice!
Pros of Garnier Fructis Style Wet Shine Gel:
- Wet-shine claims are true.
- Holds very feather light. Good if you’re styling a small part of it, like curling the side fringes.
- The gel has a very fruity refreshing smell.
- Comes in a vibrant green tube packaging, easy to squeeze the gel out.
- Helps to tame frizz without any stickiness.
Cons of Garnier Fructis Style Wet Shine Gel:
- Not suitable to style thick hair.
- The gel has very thin watery consistency and leaks.
- A lot of gel is required to hold a small part of your hair.
- Contains alcohol.!
3/5, only because it held my curled fringes in place for a couple of hours.
Will I recommend/re-purchase Garnier Fructis Style Wet Shine Gel?
Gals who require just to tame the frizz can try this once. I wouldn’t repurchase this.
