I recently purchased a few hair care products as the winter approached and the harsh weather of snow and dry winds started making my hair dull. Today’s review is all about Garnier Loving Blends Avocado and Shea Butter Hair Mask.

My Experience with Garnier Loving Blends Avocado and Shea Butter Hair Mask:
The product comes in a crimson colored pot with a wide brown colored screw cap. The wide mouth does not have a seal. I personally feel that Garnier should have sealed it! There is some information on the tub. Since it is a tub package, it can be a little unhygienic to keep putting your hands in to scoop out the product. I use a spatula for the same. The product is a little bulky for travel. The mask also settles on the cap, if kept upside down.
The mask is crimson yellow in color. It is creamy and has a thick texture. The product smells pleasant, but nothing like avocado. The smell doesn’t last long and quickly fades away. The application is pretty straightforward. You need to use it after shampooing and leave it on for around 5 minutes and wash it off. I also use it for deep conditioning treatments and leave it on for 30 minutes.
The product is meant for damaged and dull hair. The hair feels instantly smoother when rinsing off and I don’t need any hair serum to make my combing easier. It removes any tangles and makes hair manageable. The product intensively nourishes the hair and adds moisture to the hair. I have pretty dry ends and this conditioner works great for them. The mask also adds radiance to the hair. The product keeps the natural texture of hair and doesn’t cause any issues.
The product is not meant for any other hair types except dry hair. I have oily scalp and considering that it has avocado oil and shea butter which are both thick oils, it does make my scalp oilier than usual. I usually need to wash my hair the very next day or else, my hair gets limp and oilier. The product when used as a deep conditioning treatment makes the hair finer and I would suggest to use it on days you stay indoor! The product is free from parabens which is great. The product doesn’t cause frizz either and conditions the hair as claimed. However, considering my hair type and the richness of this cream, this one is not for me! I would use it when my hair ends need care otherwise, I would use a product made for my hair type.
