Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water Review

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Hi all,

Happy Easter to everyone and hope all of you are enjoying the season. As someone who travels by plane quite often and is on the go quite frequently cleansing waters have been one of my must have beauty products. Cleansing waters remove makeup dirt and grime without the need to rinse and I like to spray some Avene thermal water afterwards. Cleansing waters come in handy because I like to remove all makeup and reapply again when I am about to land after a long flight. Even on days in which I feel super lazy to remove makeup I feel these come in handy.

Garnier MicellarCleansing Water

Bioderma and Avene cleansing waters have been my favourites so far , especially Bioderma.I started using it 2 years ago and have finished around 3 full bottles.Bioderma is just a French pharmacy brand but it is overpriced in other coutries.I liked everything about Bioderma, except the price. When I recently heard about Garnier introducing a Micellar water, I couldn’t wait to try it.I purchased this beauty, “Garnier Micellar cleansing water” for around AUD 12 recently from Priceline, and please read further to see if it works for me.

About the product: Micellar Cleansing Water removes make-up, cleanses and soothes with no need for rubbing or rinsing. No perfume. Hypoallergenic. Suitable for use on sensitive skin, including delicate areas. Micellar water is an easy way to remove make-up, soothe and hydrate the face, eye area and lips in 1 step, without rinsing.

Garnier introduces micellar technology in an all-in-one cleanser. Like a magnet, the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt from the skin. No need to rub to remove impurities and make-up.

Quantity: 400ml

Directions for use: Apply Garnier cleaning Micellar water to a cotton pad and wipe the face, eyes and lips. No rinsing required.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

My Experience with Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water:

This product comes in a big 400ml bottle which is clear and the lid is pink in colour. Pretty and girly. The product itself is clear and the flip top cap gives out just enough product. This product apparently will give you 200 uses (it claims).I used this to remove makeup after work –instead of using makeup removing wipes. This water removed foundation, lip products as well as all eye makeup products but I use about 2 cotton pads with the cleansing water for my whole face and neck. After this I use a cleanser if I am at home as I like to double cleanse. During travel I use the cleansing water and then just plain water to rinse off –but this is not needed. My face doesn’t feel dry or irritated after using this product.I have combination skin and this product doesn’t make my face feel oily either. As this bottle is bulky I take some product in travel bottle and take it with me.

Compared to Bioderma and Avene, this bottle is extremely economical for the price and work as well as bioderma. However, this product is slightly lighter than bioderma, so I feel I am using more product than bioderma when using Garnier but when taking price into consideration it is still economical.

Garnier Micellar CleansingWater

Pros of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water:

• Effectively removes liquid and powder foundation, lip makeup and eye makeup
• Does not sting eyes when removing eye makeup
• Does not make skin dry after using
• Does not require rinsing after use and is easy to use on the go
• Fragrance free
• Dermatologically testing

Cons of Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water:

• Bottle is bulkier than Bioderma so size wise it’s not travel friendly
• Need to use a bit more product compared to Bioderma or Avene

Will I repurchase?

Definitely. I am looking out for offers and sales to pick it up for AUD 8-10.Definitely a bargain and a perfect dupe for other pricy cleansing waters in my opinion.
