One brand of products that probably I would never stop buying is Garnier Skin Active range. They have products for almost every time of the year. It has been a bit sunny lately and my cream was thick for the summers and I head to the drugstore to buy a light cream and spotted the new range from Garnier Skin Active. The Botanical range has CTM products and around 3 variants which include rose water, green tea, and aloe vera. I picked up two creams and one cleansing gel from all of them. I still have half a toner left from Pure Active range, so I skipped buying that. Today’s review is all about the first product I spotted from this range. My Experience with Garnier Skin Active Hydrate + Soothe Botanical Day Cream with Rose Water:

The day cream comes in a white-pink cardboard package which is sealed. The package holds a lot of information than the bottle. There were no testers available and I picked this one up only for Rose! I love rose based products. The white tub with a pink cap is beautiful. The design is pretty simple and the screw cap shuts tightly. The product can be a perfect choice for travel too. There is no additional seal in the tub. The tub package makes it a bit unhygienic and it is recommended that you use clean hands as you would apply the product onto your face.

The cream is white in color and is creamy. The product smells very fresh of roses. I love the smell. The rose essence in the cream is a winner! It is mild yet it leaves a hint of rose on your hands and neck. The smell stays for around 30 minutes and fades away.

The cream has semi-thick texture and is easily spreadable. It gets absorbed very quickly without any greasy residue. A little cream is more than enough to moisturize the face. Even though I have a combination skin, I have pretty dry flaky areas on my face. The moisturizer soothes the dryness and eliminates everything. It was like a miracle mask for me and I hardly spotted any dryness! The product is made from 96% natural ingredients and the remaining 4% that guarantee the preservation of the product.

The product makes the skin very smooth and woogly-woogly from the first usage. It adds a lot of moisture and suppleness to the skin. The product hydrates the skin very well. It intensively nourishes the skin for more than 6-8 hours. I didn’t have the need to reapply in between. During the days I stay at home, I just apply it in the morning and wash my face before going to bed. So, till then, the product protects my skin soothing it.

The product is also made keeping in mind the sensitive skin and thus, there is no irritation or redness. It is very gentle and lightweight on skin. The product didn’t cause me any breakouts but since I have been using a chemical peel, I am not sure if I have to credit this for the pimple-free experience. The product also soothes itchiness. I use this when I get itchiness due to tight elastic pants or shorts! It adds a cooling sensation and reduces any irritation.

The product makes a perfect base for makeup too. However, I have noticed that it adds a healthy radiance to the skin that you would dare to go bare! The product is also claimed to protect skin against the harmful effects of the environment and I hope it does! The product is free from silicones, parabens and any artificial colorants. I absolutely love the product and I have no negative to write about! So, summing up:
