It’s been a long time since I have written or reviewed something here. But then, there were some interesting products which i have tried out of late and wanted my friends here to try them out too.

So here I am, sharing review of one of the good products from Garnier Light range. I particularly don’t like this range because of their false claims and also, it breaks me out often. So this time, I was a little skeptical about trying the new garnier fairness scrub out. However, I must say that i am pretty impressed with the results of the scrub.

The scrub is a part of the Garnier light range and is suitable for all skin types. The yellow white packaging with lemon designs is particular of this range. The scrub is in a tube with screw open cap, which makes it hygienic and also, easy to carry. No, it does not spill if the cap has been fastened well.

The tangerine yellow coloured scrub (it’s such a pleasing color to the eyes ) is primarily in a gel form, so for oilies too, it is a good option. The scrub even smells like lemon, which is another particular with this range itself. For those who detest strong smells, this may be a drawback. The mild exfoliating beads are very gentle on the skin when rubbed, but those with breakouts should avoid it.

Now, on the performance. The scrub claims to be a fairness and anti-tan scrub. The latter was the reason why I chose it. And yes, if used regularly on tanned skin, it does remove tan although slowly and evens the skin out. Also, it brightens the skin after use and despite being a scrub, does not make the pores bigger. I have been using it for two months now and the scrub does ensure that the tan goes away slowly and a luminous skin is revealed from inside.
So the good and the not so good factors of the scrub are:

Good —
1. It’s a gel based scrub, so those with oily skin can also use it.
2. The beads are very gentle, so do not scrub the skin very harshly and can be used on alternative days.
3. The packing is quite sturdy.
4. The quantity is good for the price. However, the packing says that this is just the introductory price and actual price is Rs 80.
5. Does remove tan when used regularly and also, leaves the skin luminous.

Not so good —

1. For some, the smell may be a little overpowering.
2. The claims of fairness are not met with. But then, anti-tan is a claim which it manages to make true.
3. Contains loads of chemical ingrediants, especially parabens.

Rating : I will give it a 4 out of 5 (-2 for parabens and smell)

Will I repurchase it : Yes, surely in summers.
