My Experience with Gerard Cosmetics 1995 Hydra-Matte Liquid Lipstick:

Gerald cosmetics have some unique shades in their Hydra-Matte Liquid Lipstick range and they have a luxurious packaging, which made me purchase this one.

Packaging: I simply love the packaging. The Gerard Cosmetics Hydra-Matte Liquid Lipstick comes packaged in a frosted plastic tube with a gold cap. The cap has the brand name engraved on the top. The lipstick comes enclosed in a black colored cardboard box with white and gold details. The bottom of the lipstick has a sticker with the shade name. Since the tube is frosted, one cannot properly see the actual color from the outside. The lipstick has a regular, slightly flexible doe foot applicator, which feels quite sturdy while applying the liquid lipstick. Overall, the packaging looks simple, modern and grand.

Shade: “1995” is a pretty unique shade, inspired by the lip colors from the 1990’s. It is a mauvy brown shade with a rosy undertone. It is a universally flattering shade, which will look good on all skin tones. This shade is also present in their regular lipstick line. I think it is a beautiful neutral color, which will be an MLBB shade for many.

Formula: The lipstick has an amazing formula. It is thick in consistency, but glides smoothly on the lips, making the application easier. The lipstick has a great pigmentation that provides an opaque finish in a single swipe. It takes around one to two minutes to dry down completely to a gorgeous matte finish. Initially, the lipstick provides a slightly drying feel to the lips, but once it settles, it sits comfortably on the lips. The lipstick clings onto the dry patches yet feels soft on the lips. Also, it has a sweet, cake batter smell, which is not bothersome.

Wear Time: The lipstick stays for around 10 hours, which is great. It survives meals and doesn’t transfer much. The lipstick looks beautiful on the lips and fades away a bit after few hours. It is a good liquid lipstick with an amazing staying power.

Quantity: The only concern of this is lipstick is, its quantity. It has only 2.3 ml of the product, which is very very less when compared to the liquid lipsticks from different brands. So overall, other than the quantity issue, it is a beautiful neutral shade with an amazing pigmentation.
