Gerard Cosmetics Berry Smoothie Lipstick Review

Today, I am reviewing the last lipstick from my haul from Gerard Cosmetics. I have already reviewed the shades French Toast, Rodeo Drive and Cherry Cordial. Today, I am reviewing the shade Berry Smoothie. Read on to find out more about this shade.

$19, but I got it at a discounted price.

My Experience with Gerard Cosmetics Berry Smoothie Lipstick:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a cute chubby little golden bullet. The tube has Gerard Cosmetics written over it and has the shade sticker at the bottom. The cap clicks shut. The golden packaging looks classy. The packaging is quite small and travel friendly.

Shade/Pigmentation:  Berry Smoothie appears as a beautiful berry pink shade in the bullet. It does not appear too dark on the lips and comes across as a medium pink on the lips. It is a lovely every day wear shade which will suit most skin tones. Note that this shade looks very similar to another shade from Gerard Cosmetics – Rodeo Drive and you surely don’t need to own both of them. Rodeo Drive has more mauve undertones while Berry Smoothie tends to be more pink-ier.  The lipstick is fairly pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover the lips.

Texture/Finish:  The lipstick has a creamy texture and applies smoothly on the lips. It does not tug at the lips at all during application. The lipstick feels creamy when you apply it, but settles down to a semi-matte finish with a nice sheen. The lipstick is not exactly moisturizing, but it does not dry out your lips either. There does not seem a need to apply a lip balm prior to the application.

Lasting Power:  This is not a transfer-proof lipstick and transfers easily on cups and glasses. The lipstick does not stay put beyond 4 hours and does not survive a full meal. Since, this is a light shade, it does not leave any tint behind. Personally, I am fine to reapply my lipsticks whenever the need arises.

To summarize, this is a beautiful everyday wear lipstick with a decent formula. If you do not mind the low staying power, you can definitely try this shade. However, at the original price of 19 dollars, it seems a bit pricey.

Would I Repurchase Gerard Cosmetics Berry Smoothie Lipstick?

This is a lovely pink lipstick with a decent formula, but a bit pricey for 19 dollars. So, I will leave the decision to you.
I would love to try other shades from the range.
