Gerard Cosmetics Cherry Cordial Lipstick Review

Having reviewed the shades French Toast and Rodeo Drive from Gerard Cosmetics, I am back with the review of one more shade – Cherry Cordial. Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Gerard Cosmetics Cherry Cordial Lipstick:

Packaging:
The lipstick comes in a cute chubby little golden bullet which looks quite similar to a MAC lipstick. The tube has Gerard Cosmetics written over it and has the shade sticker at the bottom. The cap clicks shut. The golden packaging looks classy. The packaging is quite small and handy which makes it travel friendly.

Shade/Pigmentation:
Aah!! The shade Cherry Cordial!! This is a deep dark berry shade which somehow reminds me of Fall Season, Rekha (the actress) and Sangria – all at once. The shade is super glamorous and what I love the most is that you can vary how you want to wear it. You can put on a single swipe to get a sultry, seductive look. Or you can layer it on to get a dark, vampy look. Or you can even smudge it a little bit and wear it as a stain.

I am personally a bit shy of wearing deep dark lipsticks and hence, prefer wearing it a bit subdued as a stain. This shade is surely not an everyday wear shade; it is best reserved for a glamorous evening look. But, it will suit all most skintones.

Texture/Finish:
The lipstick has a creamy texture and applies smoothly on the lips. It is not super creamy, but it does not tug at the lips either during application. The lipstick has a crème finish with a light sheen. It does not dry out your lips and there is no need to apply a lip balm prior to the application.

Lasting Power:
This is not a transfer proof lipstick and transfers easily. Since this is a dark shade, it stays put for a comparatively longer time of around 5-6 hrs. It leaves behind a lovely plum stain on the lips. You surely need a makeup remover to remove all traces of this shade.

To summarize, Cherry Cordial is a gorgeous dark shade lipstick with a decent formula.
