Product Description:
Lucy was inspired by the iconic comedian and sitcom star who will forever be America’s sweetheart. This rosy highlight is ultra velvety and finely milled. We added a hint of golden shimmer to give it dimension and it looks beautiful on the cheekbones or mixed with the blush of your choice.

My Experience with Gerard Cosmetics Lucy Star Powder:

packaging

These highlighters are called the ‘Star Powders’ and they come in a beautiful gold compact packaging with a mirror and a clear plastic sort of protective lid to protect your powder from clumsy fingers (like mine). However, if you ask me to comment on how much the lid protects the powder, I will say it doesn’t necessarily because if you drop it by mistake, it will shatter and then your heart will break. 😛

back

Lucy is described as a rosy highlight with a hint of golden shimmer. This one is great for our dusky girls out there. Since I have tan to dark skin, Lucy looks like a rosy coppery blush sort of highlight with golden shimmer on me. Now the shimmer is not too overwhelming so this one looks great even if you wear it in the day time; applied, of course, with a light hand because these powders are highly pigmented and a little goes a long way.

close up

It can also be used as a blush topper which is what I do most of the time when I decide to wear a blush. The texture of this powder is buttery soft and it is so easy to blend. You really don’t have to work much with this. The powder goes on really smoothly and you need just a tiny bit. I also double it up as an eye shadow. The staying power is around 5 hours on me. These powders are really versatile and I love that about it!

Pros of Gerard Cosmetics Lucy Star Powder:

• Shade flatters medium to dark skin tones well
• Texture is easy to blend
• No visible or chunky glitters
• Packaging is gorgeous and classy
• Quantity is good

Cons of Gerard Cosmetics Lucy Star Powder:

• Price
• Clear plastic lid doesn’t actually protect the powder

IMBB Rating:
4.5/5
(Only because the protective plastic lid is not actually protective)

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Gerard Cosmetics Lucy Star Powder?
Definitely! But I won’t repurchase these in the immediate future only because I will not be finishing these any time soon.
