Gerard Cosmetics Rodeo Drive Lipstick Review

Hello all!

After seeing some positive reviews on Youtube and also reading positive reviews on IMBB, I hauled a few lipsticks from Gerard cosmetics. Today I am reviewing a Gerard Cosmetics lipstick in the shade Rodeo Drive. Read on to find out more about this shade.

My Experience with Gerard Cosmetics Rodeo Drive Lipstick:

Packaging: The lipstick comes in a cute chubby little golden bullet. The tube has Gerard Cosmetics written over it and has the shade sticker at the bottom. The cap clicks shut. The golden packaging looks classy. But, the reflective packaging also picks up a lot of fingerprints which I don’t like.

Shade/Pigmentation: Rodeo Drive is a beautiful medium pink shade with mauve undertones. It is a lovely everyday wear shade which will suit most skintones. Note that this shade looks very similar to another shade from Gerard Cosmetics – Berry Smoothie and you surely don’t need to own both of them. The lipstick is fairly pigmented and one swipe is enough to cover the lips.

Texture/Finish: The lipstick has a creamy texture and applies smoothly on the lips. It is not ultra-creamy, but it does not tug at the lips either during application. The lipstick feels crème when you apply it, but it settles down to a semi-matte finish with a nice sheen. The lipstick is not exactly moisturizing, but it does not dry out your lips either. There does not seem a need to apply a lip balm prior to the application.

Lasting Power: This is not a transfer proof lipstick and transfers easily on cups and glasses. The lipstick does not stay put beyond 4 hrs and does not survive a full meal. Since, this is a light shade, it does not leave any tint behind. Personally, I am fine to reapply my lipsticks whenever the need arises.

To summarize, this is a beautiful everyday wear lipstick with a decent formula. If you do not mind the low staying power, you can definitely try this shade. However, at the original price of 19 dollars, it seems a bit pricey.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend Gerard Cosmetics Rodeo Drive Lipstick?
This is a lovely mauve-y pink lipstick with a decent formula, but you need to decide for yourself whether you want to spend 19 dollars on this lipstick. I would love to try other shades from the range.
