I have split ends, which really make my hair look unhealthy. I do not know the reason behind split ends but trimming is the best solution, I feel. There are a lot of topical creams available in the market which can help with split ends. To treat my hair this time, I went for a cream as I hate the hair dressers here. I tried a few salons here and was never satisfied. They were extremely expensive too. I love the hair dressers in Bangalore and get all my hair treatments done there. So as a short term solution, I got this cream from GDH. Let’s see how it fared.

How to Use:
Dispense 10ml of product into clean hands. Massage through the hair, down to the ends and wherever there is damage. Section the hair and blow-dry it smooth with your ghd hair dryer, then dry divide the hair into small sections and pass your ghd styler over each section to seal the product.
My Experience with GHD Advanced Split End Therapy:
It comes in a golden colored tube with a glossy screw lid. The packaging looks swanky and I fell for it. It looks luxurious and I thought it’d work well with GHD stylers. The screw lid opens to a small opening on the tube through which the product is discharged.
The product is whitish in color and smells good. The texture is more like a cream, but when applied on hair, it feels gel-like and does moisten the hair slightly. The cream is lightweight and does not weigh the hair down.
I normally wash my hair twice a week and use this product once a week. I skip the conditioner after shampooing on days I use this cream. This is what even GHD recommends. I use a walnut sized amount for my shoulder length hair.
I apply it to my towel dried hair and let my hair air dry. I sometimes use a hair dryer too but I use the lowest heat setting on my hair dryer. When my hair is completely dry, I use GHD Platinum Professional Performance Styler to straighten my hair.
I do not use a heat protection spray with this. I do not want to use too many products on my hair, hence I skip the heat protection spray. My hair looks extremely shiny and healthy when I do this. The split ends don’t look as bad as they normally would with this cream. But the split ends still remain.
I feel the product acts as a mask to hide the split ends, but in reality, it’s not 100% effective. In my opinion, even cheaper products can create the same effect. So, this product is more of a luxury product than a must-have.

I will not, as it’s quite expensive for the performance it delivers.
Would I Recommend GHD Advanced Split End Therapy?
If cost is not a constraint and you are looking for a luxury product for your hair then go for it. It won’t work wonders on split ends, though.
