Hi Everyone,
As you know, Valentine’s Day is round the corner. I want to send something for my boyfriend and hubby-to-be who stays in US. I can order something online, but I want the gift to be very personalized, very compact due to postal issues and very loving, since its got to be the first one in so many years. I have thought of a hand written letter, a coffee mug with some message, since he drinks it first thing in morning, it will bring a smile on his face for sure. A key chain as he has got a new car and something to hang up there in his car/
All this will be compact, personalised as well as daily use stuff. Can you advice me something better or may be places where I could lay my hands on better stuff in Delhi, I only now about Archies.

Wow.. what a sweet thought.. 🙂 since he drinks coffee first thing in the morning why don’t you send him a photo mug with a picture of you two. I gave one of these to my hubby last year for valentines which also happens to be our weddind anniversary.

lovely thot…. since u want it to be personalized….. i always feel nothng can replace your ownself in ur partner’s life… so y don’t u get in touch with his close frnds or colleagues thr n surprise him with very tiny little moments and gifts through out the day….. make him feel like u have actually been around him on that day….. It does not need to be sumthng elaborate…. just tiny little thngs like askng one of his frnds to deliver sumthng he loves first thng in d mrng…or requestng a frnd or colleague to arrange a surprise for him at his offce desk b4 he arrives…. gettng a frnd to take his most favvv food at lunch…etc etc…..u cud add lot more depndng on wat he likes…. U knw… d feelng dat u hav personalized it so much would last longer dan gifts…..

it would be great to put together an album of the places you visited together and maybe some solo snaps of you both. Also you could write some stuff alongside the pics..to bring in a fun element stick a pic of a place you’d like to visit together 🙂

How about ordering home delivery flowers wid personalised coffee mugs as well.. 🙂 u may log in to 1800 flowingers dot com or any site of safeway/walmart dot com for home delivery of personalised message coffe mugs or albums or anything. I did same on our anniversary and planning to order some other stuffs for him this valentine.. 🙂

You can also get a T-shirt with a pic of you two. I got one from Zoomin.com.. so sure US would also have something similar.

This is solely my opinion and I agree with Swadha. I do believe that both girls and boys have different mindsets and choices. You really want to make him happy, right? If I were you, I wouldn’t have gone with what I lie but what he likes. And generally guys don’t really get excited with girly chats and actions. I cannot really explain it but this is a fact. They may show otherwise to make us happy, but they would not be very excited from within. Go with gadgets by all mean, if you would like to. Gadgets make a Guy really really happy. They need some action or something to play with. They are not very romantic by nature, you see :). If he has a PS3, psp or xbox, you can give him some new released games, or stuffs like that. A watch would also be a very nice present, if you want it to keep it neutral. Rest is up to you :). Good Luck!
