This is my first post on IMBB and of course I am very excited and nervous. I am a perfume addict and so is my boyfriend. :shy:
He gifted me Ange Ou Etrange Eau De Toilette from from Givenchy on my 21st birthday. I was so much excited and happy that I can’t put the feelings in words. Anyway, let us move on.
Sparkling citrus-inspired notes of tangerine and orange blossom liven heady white floral heart notes including peony, lily and heliotrope. A sensuous dry-down, made of spicy patchouli and palissander wood mixed with sultry white musk, completes the scent experience.
The bottle is designed by Serge Mansau which captured the notes of Calabrian mandarin, lily of the valley and neroli in the top. The heart is following with the floral wafts of lily, peony and heliotrope, while the dominant note of the base is patchouli. The fragrance was presented in 2007.
Alcohol, aqua (water), parfum (fragrance), limonene, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Hydroxycitronellal, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Linalool, Geraniol, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, BHT, Citronellol, Coumarin,Citral.
Rs. 4175/- for 50 ml.
My Take on Givenchy Ange Ou Etrange Eau De Toilette:
The bottle itself is super cool and attractive. The combination of blue made it both mysterious and girlish. It has a very pleasant and soothing smell. Close to floral, but there is also a woody tint which makes it so exceptional, maybe unique.
As soon as you spray, it gets mixed or reacts with your body scent and leaves on a mild fragrance which lasts all day long and does not seem to be artificial at all. Even in humid weather, the fragrance does not fade away much. I do get great compliments about my “signature fragrance” (as my classmates call it) all the time.
One can use it daily as I do. As you can see in the photos, I have already finished half of the bottle. It is also perfect for special occasions.
Pros of Givenchy Ange Ou Etrange Eau De Toilette:
- The smell is divine.
- The lasting power. You can even find a hint of the smell on your clothes after washing it,
- I love the woody tint among the floral smell.
- Last but not the least, the design of the bottle.
Cons of Givenchy Ange Ou Etrange Eau De Toilette:
- The price is on the higher side.
- I can’t think of any other cons.
Do I Recommend Givenchy Ange Ou Etrange Eau De Toilette?
Of course, try it and you won’t be disappointed. Promise.
Will I Repurchase Givenchy Ange Ou Etrange Eau De Toilette?
May be not because I like to try different fragrances and my boyfriend promised me that he will get me something from the Christian Dior collection :happy dance:
Fragrance isn’t something you can impulse-buy, and there are two main reasons for this. Your personal body chemistry will affect how different notes (all perfumes are composed of a top note, a middle note and a base note) react to your skin. Because everyone has a unique body chemistry, fragrances will often smell different from one person to the next. Additionally, diet and some medications can affect how the fragrance reacts to your body chemistry. So, while choosing a perfume test it on your body rather than on the cards.
