My Experience with Givenchy Dahlia Divin
Honestly, I find it extremely hard to review the perfumes. I mean if I make no effort for the review sake, my review would finish in one line – I like / don’t like this perfume. 😛 Anyhoo, let me try.
Givenchy Dahlia Divin comes packed in this gorgeous square transparent bootle with some rose gold details. The blush pink perfume looks gorgeous inside the bottle. I’d call a packaging a modern luxury.
I’d call this a floral spicy perfume. I am totally not a floral perfume wearer but I think the spiciness / woodiness this perfume has got me into picking it up. It is a sweet smelling perfume with hints of jasmine and sandalwood. It is kind of sexy and is mysterious in its own way. I’d also call it a very evening winter perfume. Think of a woman wearing a sexy evening dress and there is a gorgeous fragrance coming from her cashmere coat as she talks to you..it is something like that. It is not my everyday perfume despite it being such a long lasting one (6-7 hours and still it never fades away completely). It’s more of my special occasion perfume when I’d dress up for the evening.
What I like about this perfume that most is that it does not smell very sweet or floraly..it has that little mystery to it that you can’t exactly pick what exactly it smells of but it would leave a memory behind.
It is also a very strong perfume. One spritz is all you need to get it working. If you are someone who like light mild fragrances, this may not be for you.
It is nothing like I have ever tried before mostly because I am mostly stuck with fresh citrusy fragrances. This kind of fragrance has opened a whole new world of fragrance for me that I didn’t even know of.
I absoolutely love this. This perfume is not very ‘me’ but it makes me feel so sexy every time I wear it. I have a mini bottle of it as well that I carry in my purse whenever I have used this for the evening..you know just in case. 🙂

Oh it’s one of my winter essentials.Givenchy has a lovely offering of perfumes.I remember how I used to be hooked to their La Absolute bouquet. Have you tried Gucci Bamboo ? It’s a beautiful fragrance with crisp notes and a wonderful spillage.

You are so right – either you like a perfume or you don’t. I am not very experimental with perfumes either. Some of them smells so good by itself but I don’t like it on myself. It is pleasantly surprising when you like a fragrance which you thought you would not, is not it?
