Since I am new to the lipstick game, I would appreciate it if you sideline my nervousness and poor description. I bought this shade on a whim after watching Student Of The Year and watching Alia Bhatt slather on awesome red lipsticks and look fabulous in it, even though she has a very young-looking face. Same problem with me, whenever I used to swatch on lipsticks, I used to look like a kid trying way too hard to look older. 😛 So, I decided to find my perfect red and make it look awesome. And so I blab.
A long-lasting, waterproof lip liner pencil with sharpener.
What it is formulated to do:
Glides onto lips without feathering as it provides a precise line. Enriched with vitamin E, the formula protects lips while skin conditioners retain moisture. Comes in seven gorgeous shades that match beautifully with Rouge Interdit lipstick. Sharpener included.
My Experience with Givenchy Lip Liner Pencil – Lip Rouge:
So, I ended up purchasing this Givenchy Lip Liner, which does everything a lip liner should do. No exaggerations by the company! This thing “does not feather.” The shade is called Lip Rouge. It’s a cool toned, blue-based red. Great pigmentation, and excellent colour payoff, this lip liner is pretty damn good. It’s almost like you are lining your lips with a very pointy lipstick. 😀 After applying some lip balm and exfoliating, you can directly use it as a lipstick. Sometimes, I mix it with my balm to give a lighter, but still beautiful red colour, almost like a stain. When I used it to outline my lips when I am wearing red lipstick, it does NOT let my lipstick budge or bleed. It is not dry, but isn’t moisturizing either. So you definitely need something underneath. It glides on amazingly and lasts basically forever. 😀
As time passes, it fades off to a stain-like consistency, but at this time, I feel my lips are absolutely parched! So by the end of it, it is quite drying. Packaging is also awesome, it comes in a black sharpenable pencil form. Good for hygiene too! 😀 It comes with its own sharpener so yay yay yay!
Definitely enough bang for my bucks!
