My Experience with Glamglow Poutmud Fizzy Lip Exfoliating Treatment:

It’s a coarse sugar lip scrub that comes packaged in a gorgeous pink carton and a cute round silver jar. And honestly, I was not expecting much out of it. Because when you see, it just feels like a homemade sugar scrub packaged gorgeously and sold expensively, but there’s a TWIST. After scrubbing the lips for a few seconds, you dampen the lips with water and massage, it starts going off like those candy crackles – the ones that you put on your tongue and it crackles 😛 It gets rid of every last speck of dead skin on the lips. I haven’t seen my lips this soft using any lip scrub I have used before. This is that good.

It’s quite coarse and does not dissolve quickly, so gives you a bit of time to rub the product and get rid of the flaky skin on the lips. Also, if you don’t want to remove the scrub, you can leave it on and may be press the scrub between the lips – the sugar dissolves and you are left with soft lips. And then it leaves a cooling feeling on the lips. It did get a little in my mouth and I don’t mind the little sweet taste of it, but it’s not like “yummy sweet.”

This scrub is free of parabens, sulphates and phthalates. It has a sweet minty flavour. The jar does have a lot of product and would pretty much last you a long time. A little goes a long way. The ingredients list is massive and shows a lot of good stuff that this lip scrub contains. It does not leave any oily residue behind. It also preps lips for lipsticks to go on smoothly. And I’d highly suggest using a lip scrub before using a matte lipstick.

Everything said and done, I still think it is super expensive for what it is. And you do get it in India, which actually is more expensive if you were to pick it up abroad. It works great and probably better than every other sugar lip scrub I have used in past. I am not even sure if I myself would pick it up again given the price and for what it is, but I wouldn’t dismiss the product just for the price because it is an absolutely great product and it works.

With a little DIY, you can always make a good sugar scrub for yourself at home. Check this post here.
