My Experience with Glamglow Thirstycleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser:

I am a huge fan of the GlamGlow line and I was highly impressed with the “Super Mud” range which included Super cleanse cleanser and SuperMud Clearing treatment, which is literally God-sent for oily skin-acne prone skin, but since it is winter time and my skin tends to get more dry, I had high hopes when I picked up this Thirsty Cleanse cleanser.

Packaging:

Very fancy looking! It comes in a very sturdy aerosol type can resembling men’s shaving gels. You can disperse exactly the amount you need by pumping it out. I find 1-1.5 pump is good enough to wash my entire face with.

Texture/Consistency:

This is a very thick cleanser. I find the best method is to use this on damp skin and not dry as it makes spreading it much easier. You need to slowly add in little by little water which makes the mud turn into a silky smooth foam. The more water you put the more it foams.  It has a mild tingling sensation which does not linger for long post washing. The scent is very refreshing, sweet coconut-menthol type which I absolutely love. It smells absolutely delicious and wakes up the senses when used first thing in the morning.

My face feels very smooth and soft post washing, but I did not find this cleanser to be moisturizing. I did not see any improvement in my dry patches (which was a big disappointment) and I did need to follow up with a moisturizer later. My skin did feel a bit tight and stretchy, but it also felt super clean of all dirt, impurities and any residue makeup.  I did notice it left my skin glowing and helped my skin stay clear.

Overall, I do enjoy this cleanser very much. The biggest disappointment I had was that this was not as moisturizing as I hoped it would be. I still prefer my CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for days when my skin is feeling very dry. I do think this product will be suitable for normal- combination skin as it does clean the skin thoroughly and has the most delicious scent.

It is an expensive product and you get 5 oz which will last you a couple of months. This is neither the most amazing product nor a must-have product,, but it is also not a complete and utter disappointment.

Pros of Glamglow Thirstycleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser:

  • Leaves skin feeling super clean and refreshed.
  • Smells delicious.
  • Slight tingling sensation awakes the skin.
  • Leaves skin glowing.
  • Helps keep breakouts under control.

Cons of Glamglow Thirstycleanse Daily Treatment Cleanser:

  • It is not very hydrating, does nothing for my dry patches.
  • Skin feels slightly tight and stretchy which is not a good feeling.
