My Experience with Vanderbilt EDT Vaporisateur Spray

Packaging– Vanderbilt comes in a nice baby pink box. Very Clean, nothing flashy (as you can see in the pictures). The makers have tried to package it with simplicity as that is what the fragrance signifies. The bottle too is simple, nothing over the top. However the two unique aspects to the bottle are- 1. The swan (which is embedded on the front side of the EDT bottle and 2. the Gloria Vanderbilt logo carved on both sides of the golden bottle cap. This bottle has a beauty of its own. 🙂

Fragrance– Unlike spicy and oriental perfumes which are often tagged as being heavy fragrances, Vanderbilt is a rather delicate fragrance. Don’t get me wrong – It’s all in a good way. ☺ The fragrance is warm. In my opinion this is the kind of perfume you enjoy much on a cold winter night.

Since, Vanderbilt has both floral and spicy oriental notes infused in it, it would you appeal to you especially if you are fond of either of these segments. I personally find its composition nice and warm. The presence of vanilla and cinnamon is quite prominent in the EDT on the oriental side, on the floral side I would say, I could make out the presence of carnations, lavender and jasmine. ☺ “So Feminine” was actually the first thought that came to my mind at the first whiff of Vanderbilt. 😀

Though, I like this fragrance, I find it much on the calmer side. It is not a lively, cheerful fragrance, something that young women, especially in their twenties tend to relate to. However, it definitely has an old world charm to it and perhaps this is the reason I like to wear it occasionally. This is definitely not the smell that would appeal much to teenagers.
Longevity – It lasts a good 3-4 hrs, which I find decent enough. After that the fragrance starts to fade of.

Wearibility– It is an evening perfume. You can wear it both on formal/informal events.

Cons of Gloria Vanderbilt Eau De Toilette Vaporisateur Spray

• Depending on the skin type – This should last you between 3-5 hours. (This is really not a con for me – But I really want to point it out as on some skin types – It might not last for long.)
Some might find the fragrance heavy – I guess this is more or less Perception based.

IMBB Rating 3.5/5

Would I repurchase Vanderbilt?
Yes, I like the feminine appeal attached to it and like I said it makes for a really nice fragrance, especially during winters. ☺

Would I recommend Vanderbilt?
Yes. If you are fond of floral and oriental notes, you should atleast try it. 🙂

Advice– Even though this fragrance is not heavy- (in my opinion), I would really recommend you to not over apply this fragrance. Just 3-4 dabs on the key areas and you are done.
