Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack Detoxifying Face Mask Review

Hello everyone,

We all deserve a bit of pampering every now and then – the easiest way to get that is the good old face mask. In my Glossier haul, I picked up both the face masks that are currently being offered by this brand – “Moisturizing Moon Mask” and the “Mega Green Galaxy Pack,” and I must say, both these face masks have been the star of my haul. Read on to know more about the Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack.

Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack Detoxifying Face Mask

Product Description:
Think of this as a juice cleanse for your face. Made with simple, natural ingredients – the Mega Greens Galaxy Pack balances and conditions pores while helping to calm inflammation. Using the gentlest, most nourishing creamy white kaolin clay, this cleansing mask detoxifies skin by drawing out excess oil and impurities—leaving your face with a velvety-matte, clean finish. Beauty foods like vitamin-rich leafy greens and superfruit antioxidants deliver a potent dose of nutrients for when you need to press the reset button on your complexion. Basically, it does a lot of work, so you don’t have to.

My Experience with Glossier Mega Greens Galaxy Pack Detoxifying Face Mask:

Packaging:  This mask comes in a standard tub packaging.

Texture:  This is a thick dense mask. I use a spatula to scoop some of the product out and apply a thick layer onto the skin. While the brand does recommend using it over damp skin, I find that using it over dry skin is just as effective. This mask is a bit gritty but not enough to provide any sort of exfoliation. I suppose they are just remnants part of one of the ingredients and lends to the whole “galaxy/stars” theme. This mask goes on white and turns translucent as it dries which lets you know when it’s ready to be rinsed off. It tightens on the skin as it dries. It does make my face feel warm and causes some tingling, but it is not uncomfortable. It is quite easy to rinse off and does not leave any greasy feeling behind.

Performance/Results:  This is a detoxifying face mask and I have been using this once even twice a week. This clay-based mask gives my skin such a nice and clean feeling as it takes away any excess oil, but it never leaves my skin feeling dry or stretchy which is an amazing quality for those with dry skin like mine. Though it is ineffective on getting rid of existing blackheads, I find that with regular use I see less blackheads and whiteheads emerging on my skin. It conditions and soothes my skin, calms any redness, and reduces the amount of minor breakouts that I may face. It leaves my skin even toned and radiant almost immediately and the results last for a couple of days.

My husband who has extremely oily, acne-prone skin also uses this and he too loves this mask. It helps keep his face matte and also got his breakouts under control. I find the mild herbal scent not overpowering or offensive. I love the excellent ingredients list which contains avocado oil, spinach and parsley extract among other things.

I find this an excellent face mask for all skin types as it deep cleans without ever drying out the skin. For those who have oily, blackhead-prone skin or those who usually wear a lot of makeup on a regular basis, this mask will help detox you skin, keeping it looking healthy. I highly recommend this mask and I will repurchase this.
