By Pushpa P

Hello lovely ladies….

I am back with a post and this one is going to have lots of easy home rmedies to take care of our skin during the winters, that often leave our skin dry, chapped, dull and lifeless.

So read on to know a few tips to use the common ingredients available at home to make your skin look great during the cold season.

All the remedies mentioned below are something that I have tried personally at different points of time and thus I can assure you these are safe enough.

Skin-Care-during-Winter

Olive Oil – Besan Massage:

Steal yourself some ample time to do this as the more amount of time you spend doing this, the better your skin is going to it. We often tend to focus more on our facial skin and less on the rest of our body, this simple ingredient can be used all over your body to retain the moisture for your skin. Massage olive oil all over your arms and legs. Keep massaging in circular motions and keep going over your entire skin in similar movements. Sit back and relax and let your skin drink up all the moisture. Once you feel you have given enough time for the oil to dry up, go ahead and take a bath with luke warm water and make sure you scrub off the oil using besan/gramflour only, to make sure you are getting rid of all that grease that comes with Oilve oil.

Olive oil is best known for its moisturizing properties and the besan will help you cleanse off teh gerase without stripping the moisture of your skin.

Oats and Curd Mask:

This mask proves very beneficial for extremely dry skin. Mix oats with a plop of curd enough to make a paste. Apply this mixture on to your skin wherever you feel your skin needs that moisture, let the mask dry off and wash off with normal water. You will see an instant surge of moisture in your skin and the mask will leave your skin very soft and supple.

Yogurt and Cucumber:

Yogurt is a very good remedy when it comes to skin trouble like dryness and it also helps in cooling skin during the harsh summers. And if you are looking for moisturization, go ahead and mix about a tablespoon of plain yogurt with about half a cucumber pulped/pureed. Apply this mask and let it dry before you wash it off. For extra moisturisation, you could wash it off with milk before you go ahead and splash your face with water.
