I’m back with yet another face wash review and this time it’s the Godrej Nature Clear Pimple Control Face Wash. With summers my t-zone gets quite oily so when I spotted this at my nearby super marker,I thought of giving it a shot as it was dirt cheap. So let’s see whether it stood by its claims or not.
Price: Rs. 35 for 50 gms.
My Experience Godrej No.1 Nature Clear Pimple Control Face Wash:
The face wash comes in a white opaque tube with a flip-cap which shuts tightly and prevents spillage on the go. The tube has green accents here and there which is indicative of the neem present in the face wash as a key ingredient. The packaging is quite decent for the dirt cheap price that it comes at and can easily be carried around.
The face wash has a very soothing and mild fragrance which I totally love and the fragrance lingers for quite some time after washing the face. It has a green gel like consistency which makes me feel like I’m applying something herbal to my face and I really enjoy that. The gel looks very pretty and has a semi thick consistency and doesn’t lather much on application. It’s quite gentle on the face on leaves the face feeling squeaky clean post a wash. It doesn’t dry out my face at all and in summers I can really do without a moisturiser after washing my face with this one as I have an oily t-zone.
I have a feeling that it would work pretty well for dry-skinned girls as well however I would suggest girls with super oily skin to stay away from it at least in the summers. Right after the first wash my face felt fresh and clean and it was quite efficient at controlling the oil in my t-zone for almost two hours which I must say was pretty impressive. I cannot really comment on the pimple controlling aspect as I rarely get a few here and there and they anyway disappear within a day without much effort from my end so whether the face wash catalysed the process or not is a tough question for me to answer. The only downside for me is that it contains sodium laureth sulfate which is something I generally tend to avoid as it’s known to be carcinogenic with prolonged usage.
Summing up the pros and cons,
Pros of Godrej No.1 Nature Clear Pimple Control Facewash:
- Really affordable
- Easily available
- Sturdy packaging which is good enough to carry around
- Soothing fragrance
- Doesn’t make skin feel stretchy post a wash
- Amazing at controlling oil
Cons of Godrej No.1 Nature Clear Pimple Control Facewash:
- Contains SLS
- Pimple control claim may be a bit far fetched
- May not suit girls with extremely oily skin in the summers.
IMBB Rating: 4/5
Overall, I must say that I’m quite impressed with face wash for the price point that it comes at. It did an excellent job at controlling the oil in my t-zone and it has become my next favorite with the Himalaya Neem face wash being my first. However, the SLS in it kind of bothers me and hence I have kept it in my travel bag so that I use it only occasionally. This would be a great option for girls with combination skin looking for an affordable face wash for the summers.
