My Experience with Gosh Velvet Touch Matt Lipstick Smoothie 010:
Gosh is a Denmark based brand. During the previous year, it has hit the stores in UAE and now is easily available. I picked up the Gosh Velvet Touch Matt Lipstick in the shade Smoothie 010 hoping for a perfect lipstick for daily wear.
The packaging is quite basic but sturdy. The all black lipstick tube with a slightly glossy Gosh embossed band in the center makes it classy. The plastic cap closes tightly, hence, making it travel-friendly. The name and number of the shade are mentioned at the bottom of the lipstick tube.
The texture is very smooth and creamy for a matte lipstick and glides well on the lips. It stays put for about 3 to 4 hours after which, it needs a reapplication. It has a very slight pleasant smell. Nothing over the top and not bothering as such.
The good part about this lipstick is that though it is matte, it does not dry out the lips. It appears completely matte in the tube but after applying on the lips, it gives a slight satin finish. I still top it up with a lip balm sometimes for a healthy natural shine.
The shade Smoothie 010 is quite opaque. This shade is a muted reddish pink/dull pink/brownish pink/dark rose (if you know what I mean!). It is a universal shade which will suit well on almost all skin tones – fair, medium and dark skin tones too.
I am medium skin toned and have very pigmented lips. This lipstick covered all the pigmentation and appears as a beautiful nudish pink/dull rose shade on my lips. It looks neither too dark nor too light. It’s a perfect shade to wear during the day considering the fact that it gives a satin finish and natural look. It would go well in the evenings as well.
All in all, this one is worth a try being so affordable!
