Grace Cole Boutique Wild Fig and Pink Cedar Body Lotion Review

I have decided to foray into skin care these days. The first company that I chose to begin my venture is Grace Cole. This is my second purchase from the company after their Lavender and Camomile Body Cream. This particular body lotion belongs to their “Boutique” range.  I bought this body lotion only because of the cute packaging and the alluring name. Let’s see how this turned out:

Product Description:
Sleek and sophisticated, our Boutique range comprises of only the finest formulations and ingredients. These beautifully fragranced products are known for their signature scents of wild fig and pink cedar, grapefruit, lime and mint, amber, orchid and incense and white nectarine and pear. They embody a classically English sense of styling and the impressive formulations are all manufactured in the UK.  Light and soothing, this cream is perfect for everyday use and effectively moisturises using extracts of chamomile, honey and pink peony.  A rich fruity fragrance opening with Fig, slightly sweetened by Wild Plum notes, Rock Rose, Apricot and Peach on a base of Cedarwood, Raspberry, Cassis and Sultana.

Top: Cassis, Mandarin.
Middle: Fig, Violet, Plum, Peach, Rose, Raspberry.
Base: Cedarwood, Clove, Patchouli, Sultana, Amber.

Rs. 750 for 500 ml (I am so confused regarding the prices of Grace Cole products. They seem to be priced differently on different websites).

How To Use:
Smooth into skin after bathing for a delicately soft sensation and delightful fragrance.

My Experience with Grace Cole Boutique Wild Fig and Pink Cedar Body Lotion:

After the disastrous fragrance of the lavender body cream from the same brand, I was skeptical about how this will smell, but there was nothing I could do as I had ordered both the products together. Thankfully, this turned out to be good, both fragrance-wise as well as in terms of its moisturising properties.

The packaging of the lotion is cute and classy. The lotion comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a plastic, silver cap. The bottle when full with the delightfully gorgeous light pink-coloured lotion looks really very attractive. A pink-coloured plastic band around the neck of the bottle enhances its beauty. The cap has a tab with press written, which when pressed raises a small opening on its other side to squeeze out the lotion. There is no pump, but still the product is easily dispensed out on squeezing the bottle.

The fragrance of this lotion is good. It is a fruity and flowery scent, and smells pleasant enough. I like it but I am not crazy about it. The fragrance is not very strong which is what I like about it. It lasts for about 30-40 minutes.

The texture of the body lotion is creamy. I feel it is creamier than what a lotion should be, but this does not hamper its moisturising properties. It is absorbed well into the skin on application and does not feel greasy at all. It is really light and effectively moisturizes the skin. The hydrating effect it offers lasts for about 8-10 hours, that too on my very dry skin.

• Fragrance is not too overpowering.
• Moisturisation lasts for close to 8-10 hours on my very dry skin.

• Good quantity for the price.

• Fragrance lasts for around 30-40 minutes.
