I recently bought so many makeup and skincare products online! And the sheer joy of getting them delivered to your doorstep and opening the packaging, bliss! So here I am reviewing a recent purchase I made, Grace Cole Lily and Verbena Softening Body Cream.
Price:
Rs. 600 for 238 ml (however you can find discounts at different sites)
Product Description:
This light weight body cream has been specially formulated to leave skin feeling and looking renewed, younger and energised. Blended with indulgent essential oils to pamper and nourish, this beautiful cream will leave skin delicately scented, healthy looking and glowing.
Ingredients:
Aqua (Water), Paraffinum Liquidum, Glyceryl Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Ceteareth-20, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Parfum (Fragrance), Sodium Benzoate, Triethanolamine, Linalool, Geraniol, Limonene, Hexyl Cinnamal, CI 19140 (Yellow No 5), CI 42090 (Blue No 1)
Packaging:
Grace Cole scores high on packaging. The pale pista green packaging looks exquisite with floral motifs and golden cap. The tube is bulky (238 ml) but looks pretty on the dresser. I so wish they launch some travel sized products too. Nonetheless, the tube is sturdy and travel friendly (if you have large totes or handbags)
My Take on Grace Cole Lily and Verbena Softening Body Cream:
Some companies are renowned for their excellent smelling products. TBS and BBW have always been favorites, but I got introduced to Grace Cole through IMBB. The fragrance is not what I was expecting, and I know Lily and Verbena range wasn’t the most delicious or popular fragrance either. Anyway, the smell surely disappoints especially if you expect a touch of luxury in your body pampering routine.
Texture wise, it is just of the right texture. It gets absorbed into the skin, leaving no oily film or greasy layer. The skin absorbs the moisture greedily, and being lightweight it feels comfortable on skin. The cream makes your skin soft and supple, with no need of frequent moisturization. In fact, my normal skin needed moisturization after 10 hours, while on my mother’s dry skin didn’t feel the need for any extra nourishment for around 7 hours. In that way, I am quite happy with this.
Given my experience, I am willing to experiment with more products from Grace Cole, hoping they turn out to be pleasantly fragranced.
Pros of Grace Cole Lily and Verbena Softening Body Cream:
• Beautiful, classy packaging
• Right, smooth texture
• Gets absorbed easily
• Makes skin very soft
• No greasiness
• Stays for long
• No animal testing
Cons of Grace Cole Lily and Verbena Softening Body Cream:
• Bulky tube
• Fragrance kind of unpleasant
• Parched skin might not find it sufficient
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Grace Cole Lily and Verbena Softening Body Cream?
Try Grace Cole body creams, but in other variants. This smell was not up to the mark.
