Grace Cole has 2 ranges: one is the fruity range, and the other one is the “Boutique” range which is supposed to be a better and a more luxurious range, according to them. Recently I picked up a shower gel from this range because the blend looked very unique to me. Let’s see how this bath and shower gel worked for me.
Price: 6 GBP/Rs 525 for 500 ml (retails at Rs 899-999 in India)
Product Description: A rich fragrant gel ideal for use in the bath or shower containing natural cleansing extracts of honey, ginger and ginseng.
Directions for Use: Lather with warm water, massage onto skin and rinse well.
My Experience with Grace Cole Orchid, Amber and Incense Soothing Bath and Shower Gel:
Packaging: The packaging does make it look like a luxurious range as compared to the fruity one. The shower gel comes in a big see-through bottle with peach beige coloured liquid filled inside. Since the bottle is a see-through one, it helps to keep a check on the quantity being used. The shower gel’s cap is silver one with Grace Cole engraved over it which makes it look very pretty.
The cap is also attached to some cloth hanging which makes it look prettier. Everything with the packaging works fine, but the bottle is a 500 ml one which means it is very heavy; hence it is not travel-friendly. And they do not stock smaller sizes either. But I am happy that they have an entire range of bath products which make it very great for gifting.
Consistency and smell: The consistency looks pretty thick in the bottle but when poured on the loofah, it is super runny. A very little quantity is required at once since it lathers up very well. One needs to be careful while squeezing it out because there are chances of more quantity getting poured out.
The smell is very pleasant and calming. It is not like those fruity ones which will energize you; this is a soothing fragrance which is great for bed-time. It smells of mild citrusy pink grapefruit along with hints of incense with an amber base. It is a nice scent which mostly gets used during aromatherapy sessions at spas. But this scent does not last even in the shower. Hence, there is no way it will last after rinsing.
Results: The shower gel lathers very well with a loofah and a little less without one. It is very gentle on the skin, just like a baby wash. It is great for all skin-types especially sensitive skin. It cleanses my skin very well just like other shower gels. It doesn’t eat up the moisture on my skin but I do need a lotion after this as dry skin will require something to quench its thirst. It can also be used as a bubble bath and shaving foam too. But I think for the price, especially in India, this is very ordinary and not worth it!

• Can be used as a bubble bath and a shower gel

• Has a very pleasing and soothing scent
• Calming scent – great for people who do not like over-powering scents
• Very gentle on the skin and cleanses the skin perfectly
• Can be used for shaving too as it lathers very well
• An entire range available of bath products with different flavours too
Cons of Grace Cole Orchid, Amber and Incense Soothing Bath and Shower Gel:
• A lotion needed to top it up
• Scent does not stay even in the shower
• Very ordinary; nothing luxurious
• Expensive in India
• Big bottle is not travel-friendly

Will I Repurchase/Recommend Grace Cole Orchid, Amber and Incense Soothing Bath and Shower Gel?
No I wouldn’t pick it up again nor would I recommend it! There is nothing great about this product. I would get great shower gels at probably 1/10th of the price. Why would I spend so much on this shower gel, then? Give it a skip!
Conclusion:
I better stick to my awesome smelling fruity shower gels with quirky packaging!
