It has started to get hot and humid in Kolkata and I just hate the summers but I do like that we get to eat a lot mangoes!!:)I love mangoes. Today I am going to review a pineapple and passion fruit scrub from Grace Cole. I purchased this from Beauty Centre, Mumbai. I just love the whole concept of exfoliating; it is my part in the skin care routine apart from using masks, I love masks and scrubs. See how this scrub is below:
Product Description-Revive your skin with this smoothing body scrub to reveal radiance.
Directions To Use-Massage gently onto wet skin using circular motions and rinse well.
Price-I got this for Rs.315.
My Take on Grace Cole Pineapple and Passion Fruit Body Scrub :
Now, first things first, let me talk about its packaging; It comes in a squeeze tube with a flip-flop lid. It is easy to use and we can control the amount of product we need so there is no product wastage. Considering the price I find the quantity is definitely good. The consistency is like jelly; it is not at all runny – it just sits on my skin like jelly, and I have no issues with consistency or I should say texture. I have so far used only The Body Shop’s body scrubs so I was expecting this to be similar as the packaging is almost the same but it is not. It has minute scrub particles in it; which by the way very effectively exfoliate my skin.
At first, I was thinking that this may be too mild but no, this exfoliates my skin really well. The only thing that stops me from falling in mad love with this scrub that it does not lather at all. I mean I know scrubs do not lather but still! I feel the need to use a shower gel to feel refreshed along with this one. Neither does it moisturize nor does it drie my skin. The fragrance is not too good;nothing fancy at all. It does not even smell like pineapples but you can smell passion fruit in it, which is nice but nothing ‘oh so wow’ about it. This fragrance also does not last at all. One more thing, because of its jelly texture, I require good amount of product; so I do not think It will last me very long.
Pros of Grace Cole Pineapple and Passion Fruit Body Scrub:
- Exfoliates nicely
- Nice packaging
- Not tested on animals
Cons of Grace Cole Pineapple and Passion Fruit Body Scrub :
- Fragrance does not last at all
- Does not lather at all
- It does not refresh me
- Will not last me long as you require a lot of product.
Will I Re-purchase Grace Cole Pineapple and Passion Fruit Body Scrub ?
No, I will not re-purchase this and niether will I buy any more body scrubs from Grace Cole.
Last Word on Grace Cole Pineapple and Passion Fruit Body Scrub :
It is nice body scrub but the whole process of body scrubbing is to feel refreshed at the end and it just doesn’t do that! So if you are okay with this, then you can definitely try this or else skip it.
