Go Green!!!- Bold Blue-Green Eye look Tutorial

Go Green!!!- Bold Blue-Green Eye look Tutorial

Hello All my fellow Crazy makeup ladies!!!!

I love getting all dolled up and I especially love to deck up my eyes. I am going really easy on eye makeup in these rains; but I missed doing up my eyes so much that I decided to do this tutorial. It is quite a bold eye look. But team it with a pastel colour outfit (I prefer White, Cream and Peach) and turquoise accessories and it doesn’t look OTT at all!!!!

In fact, I usually wear this look with a black kurta teamed with peacock blue metallic leggings; it makes for the perfect night look.

Here are things I am using along with a few alternatives:

  • Chambor Eye Pencil in ‘08 Guacamole’

Alternatives: Lakme 9 to 5 Eyeliner in Sapphire; Revlon Colorstay One Stroke defining Liner in ‘Totally turquoise’, Any other pencil eye liner in Turquoise.

  • MAC eye shadow in Humid (Shimmery Green)

Alternatives: Lakme Eye Pot in Jade, Maybelline Expert wear Eye Quads in Emerald Isle, or any other Shimmery Green Eye shadow.

  • MAC eye shadow in Trax (Purple with a loooot of golden shimmer)

Alternatives: Lakme Eye pot in Quartz; Maybelline Expert wear Eye Quads in Time for Wine or any other Purple eye shadow.

  • MAC eye shadow in Bagatelle (Gold)

Alternatives: Lakme Eye pot in Topaz; Maybelline Expert wear Eye Quads in Sunlit Bronze, Or any other Gold eye shadow.

Alternatives: Any black liquid/gel eye liner.

Alternatives: Any black mascara.

Alternatives: Any bronzer will do.

  • Colorbar Metallic Lipstick- Pleasures

Alternatives: Any Metallic Nude Lipstick will do.

Wow…. I just realized that this look can be created using all the three Lakme Eye Pots…. Lakme should pay me for this…. LOL!!!! So let’s start….

1. Draw a thick line with a turquoise pencil on the upper lash line. Draw a thin line in the corner of the lower lash line.

2. Smudge the upper line to cover entire eye lid. Smudge the lower lash line with a Q-tip to create a smokey base.

3. With a flat eye shadow brush, apply the shimmery green eye shadow on 3/4 th of your eye lid; starting from the inner corner. Go green Makeup tutorial

4. Apply the purple shimmery colour in the crease and outer corner.

6. With a fluffy eye shadow brush, blend all the colours together to eliminate any harsh lines.

7. Line the upper lash line with Black eye liner (Slightly winged) and apply mascara. Add false eye lashes for more drama. I want a pair actually. If I had one, I would have put it on. Draw a light line on the lower lash line to accentuate the wing. Go green Makeup tutorial

9. Finish the look with a light shimmery blush/bronzer on the cheeks and a nude (preferably metallic) lipstick. And you are done. Go green Makeup tutorial

You can create similar eye looks with any of the following color trios:

The colours given below correspond to Gold-Green-Purple in the above tutorial

  • Silver-Grey-Black (Something like this.) With black eye pencil.
  • Pink-Mauve-Dark maroon; with Brown Eye pencil. (Colorbar’s Cocobar)
  • Gold-Copper- Dark Brown; with Brown Eye pencil.
  • Silver-Sea Blue-Black; with Dark Blue/Royal Blue Eye Pencil. (Colorbar’s Electra).

  1. You look absolutely gorgeous and glamorous!
In the second picture is that the pencil that you smudged all over your eyelid?

  2. I am going to try this look and i think I have all the colours also. :jump:

And my fav pic has changed to this one now. 🙂 :-* :-*

  3. You have beautiful eyes Mrunmayee! This look is absolutely gorgeous.I cannot carry off such gorgeous eye make up but I love the look on your eyes.It is suitable for the rainy season.Your eye make up reminds me of peacocks’ colours in all their glory and remember this is the time when peacocks spread their beautiful wings and dance. They love to dance when rain comes.Beautiful, isn’t it?

  4. hey me too was like yeah its looking peacock all the way …
love ur eyes n tutorial ….
have to buy chambour eyeliner u used its soo damn pretty
ur face reminds me of….. just slipping out of mind but yeah …
tell me ur hair texture n how u style them …
i think ur hair are pretty much like me n i would like to share a piece of information with u ….
    love

    1. He he Thanks Rashmi…. 😀 😀
The Chambor eyeliner is fab… Creamy, glides on easily, stays put for hours and HIGHLY pigmented….

I have thick and wavy hair… They respond very well to all styling products and tools… 😀 😀
I am not a big fan of poker straight hair.. 🙂 So I generally apply big or medium-sized rollers to naturally tame my hair… :-))

In the pic above i have used a little hair cream and with a round brush added some volume by back-combing…
I liked the bouffant style upturned hair… 😀
.-= Mrunmayee´s last blog ..Jovees Gold Eye Contour gel- Review =-.

      1. yeah i thought that way only … that u might have naturally wavy hair…
        i too have the same
n i was at B-BLUNT juhu (one of the famous salons) for my hair cut n this gal was superb n she told me how to style my hair…
she said strictlly no no to brush….
she said we think that brushes are like heaven for our hair…
but what we are doing is we are opening our naturally wavy hair…
so the key is to wash the hair in general … comb them after towel drying with wide tooth comb , part them as u want n then crunch the hair from neeche se upar… got it …n when ur hair will dry they will have this naturally wavey hair with lot of oomph
try this it has done wonders to my hair…
        u gonna love them
sorry for unwanted suggestion but ur hair were looking so tempting i couldnt stop myself
        love
        rashmi
