Claims : The secret behind the tailor-made colour of Ecrin 4 Couleurs is a palette of four shades that can be layered and adjusted at will. Colour becomes an accessory, the object of all desires, to play and create your look of the moment to your heart’s desire. Each tone has just the right texture to enhance colour without detracting from it: matt, iridescent, satiny or metallic.
The eyeshadows glide over the eyelid, dressing it in a wash of long-lasting colour: harmonies that dare to use colour as an accessory, others to structure the eyes by playing with light and dark effects.
Ecrin 4 Couleurs is available in 12 must-have colour harmonies that are as surprising as they are embellishing.

My Experience with Guerlain Ecrin 4 Couleurs Bois De Rose
I always look out for these quads whenever I am picking up new products from a particular brand. Because no matter how many eyeshadows I have, I always pack these little quads with me when I am travelling. One these are mostly sleek so take little case in the vanity. And second, these quads have co-ordinating shades in the palette so they become total no-brainers to use when you are on a holiday and you want to spend least amount of time getting dressed up.
I almost always use neutral eyeshadows on my lids. But when I saw this palette, I knew I was going to get a lot of use out of it. The lovely rose toned colors are neutral but still give you a nice break from your regular brown eyeshadows.
There are 4 shades in the quad :
- The lightest is iridescent whitish pink color. It’s not too frosty or shiny so blends well with the skintone.
- The second color is a medium rose mauve color with golden micro shimmers
- The third shade is a medium taupe brown with satin matte finish.
- The darkest shade is a deep wine brown with gold and dark pink micro shimmers.
The best part about the palette is that all the 4 shades can be used on their own. None of the color is over shimmery or flat matte that you’d need another color from another palette to complete your eye makeup look. A wash of color with just a bit of liner and mascara and you are good to go.
The texture is ultterly butterly. 😀 They are soo smooth and blend in like a dream.
All the 4 colors are pigmented. I love a little play of textures in all the 4 colors so they work really well together as well. There has been no fall out with these shadows. Plus these stay on beautifully all day long without fading or creasing.
I love the gorgeous gold packaging. It comes with a big mirror and an applicator.
Overall, I am very happy using this palette. It gives me a break from my regular brown eyeshadows. Plus, the colors work great for both day and evening. You could create both a day time look with these or a full on smokey eye depending on your preference.
That said, you could find these shades in premium or drugstore brands well. They might not match up the luxury of the brand. But you know…
Overall, I love using this palette. By the look of the palette itself you could tell that it is a well loved palette. The darkest shade already has formed a dent in it. 😛
Would totally recommend it if your pockets allow you. 🙂
