My Experience with H2O Green Tea Urban Defense Cleansing Milk:

Before starting with my experience, let me just give you all an idea of my skin type. I have combination skin, which gets  on the drier side during winters. Like mentioned earlier, I had bought this quite some time back and had totally forgotten about it. I was done with my stock of cleansing milk and it was perfect time when I found this. Though it says it is for sensitive skin, I was sure it won’t harm mine! Normally, when I’m home from work I wash my face with Cetaphil and then before sleeping finish my CTM routine. Hence, there’s not much on my cotton ball. I use this cleanser in a similar way, but I still some dirt on my cotton balls! (Not that I’ve become dirty! :-p) Just that I realized how good the cleansing milk works for me.

Though the directions say massage and rinse, I use our normal technique of massage and take it off with a wet cotton ball. It does not leave my skin dry after washing and also does not irritate my eye area .

In terms of removing makeup, I would say for face makeup, it is a good cleanser, but for eye makeup you might have to work little hard on it. Though not too hard, like I had to rub slightly probably twice to remove my liner. (That’s good for me though)
Talking about the smell, it has a very mild pleasant fragrance. It’s a mild green tea smell for sure but yes more on a mild herbal side. I’m sure it won’t bother any nose.

Packaging:

It comes in a sturdy pump dispenser. The bottle is made of a good quality thick plastic. But not travel friendly, the reason being the dispenser does not have a lid! At least, this is how I received it in my parcel. But because of the pump, you can control the amount you want and it is hygienic. The consistency is neither too thick nor too runny; it’s like semi-liquid white fluid. Two-three pumps are enough for your face, hence this shall last you a long time. Over all I feel it’s a good product to use for sensitive skin as well.

• Does not dry out my skin.
• Removes dirt, grime and makeup.
• Safe for sensitive skin .
• Good balance of natural and chemical ingredients.
• Mild, pleasant fragrance.
• Due to the pump dispenser, easy to control the quantity and  its hygienic as well.

Cons of H2O Green Tea Urban Defense Cleansing Milk:

• Pricey.
• Availability in India.
• Not travel friendly.

IMBB Rating:

4/5 (1 point for the price)

Recommendation:

Yes absolutely, I would recommend it to all who are looking for a good cleansing milk. I think even though it is meant for sensitive skin, it will suit oily and combination skin types as well. May be, for dry skinned beauties, it will not leave your skin drier but you will need a good moisturizer later.

Repurchase:

May be not as I’m not ready to shell out INR 1300 or more for a cleanser, there are other cleansers available within a lower range that I feel will work just as well. But you never know I really like this cleanser, so if I’m in an impulsive mood, I might just buy it!

Lots of love and luck…

  1. I like the concept of cleansing milks, but fear that it would not suit me. I am using TBS Cleansing Facial Foam and hate it, wanna try this one though 🙂

  2. You can use this one as a normal face wash also just massage well… but still taking it off with a wet cotton ball gives me a kind of satisfaction when i see the dirt!
Hope this one vanishes your fear 🙂

    1. Thank you Renji, Ya i know it’s expensive, that’s why unless i’m impulsive even i might skip it! 🙂 But it does work…
